A Hero Within Global Club

The CTE students of Hot Springs High School are inquisitive, determined, and on the cusp of individual heroism! I was not only impressed with their engaging attitudes, but also thrilled to observe their emerging leadership qualities during our “A Hero Within—Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders” assembly today. In addition, the Hot Springs Middle School students I had the privilege of working with this afternoon demonstrated that they, too, are young leaders in the making. What a true privilege it was to work with the Hot Springs School District. I look forward to seeing the students of Hot Springs progress in their quest to release their inner heroes!

Presenting "A Hero Within" during the Tennessee Teen Institute at UT Martin today was an awesome experience! The entire group was very energetic and the vibe throughout the venue was contagious! After a long week of becoming empowered, these young people continued working hard to expand their minds. Thanks for providing me the opportunity to participate. I hope to cross paths again soon!

It’s not every day that I have the privilege of returning to a school off-stage to be welcomed as a part of its “Hero Community.” Yesterday, I returned to Pangburn High School, not as the founder of the program “A Hero Within—Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders,” but as an individual who shares the students’ passion for leaving behind a positive legacy. The activities the Hero Club members are participating in—from mentoring younger students to starting a reading program in their community—have created a school climate of unity. The students shared testimonials such as, “Through the Hero Club we have come together as one” “We have ownership in something bigger than ourselves” and “In times of struggle we’ve found like-minded people to lean on”. I am so proud of the students of Pangburn and excited to see how “on fire” they are for their Hero Club!

The students of Rose Bud High School were not only welcoming yesterday, they were energetic and eager to embrace my program, “A Hero Within—Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders.” Thank you to the administration, faculty, and students for your hospitality. I hope to have the privilege of returning to your campus in the future!

Having the opportunity to return to Badger Country today was a great start to the new week. To each junior and senior, thank you for your willingness to listen and learn while actively participating. I am confident that each of you will make this school year count for something special. This is your time to leave a positive mark on those around you.

A special thank you to Matt Birk, Director of Football Development for the National Football League for making time to arrange opportunities for me to gather wisdom and insight from him and his colleagues. What each executive shared in studio will be instrumental in the continual development of students and student athletes I have the privilege to serve. Our signature program, A Hero Within – Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders and my new presentation Peak Performance U, will both benefit greatly from the passionate content shared by these industry leaders. With such emphasis on essential skills for the workplace as well as life-skills strength training, content shared by Troy Vincent – Executive Vice President of Football Operations, Merton Hanks – Vice President of Operations, Keith Elias – NFL Alumni, and Matt will make a tremendous difference. To the film crew, those staffers who assisted in the process, and to each NFL executive who participated, I appreciate your time and attention to our future generation of leaders. With the students' willingness to listen, learn, and implement the content, positive outcomes are that much more attainable, thanks to you!

It was terrific returning to Pangburn this morning to present the second phase of “A Hero Within—Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders!” The students and faculty were awesome once again. I am extremely excited to see the eagerness with which the school is implementing the “A Hero Within” Student Organization! I really appreciate the administration’s support and encouragement in allowing this movement to become a part of Pangburn Schools!
