The registration for the 2025 ATOA Conference has been open for several days now. You would know that if you had downloaded the ATOA App. Click below and register now for the upcoming Conference.
A couple notes, we have two Negotiators classes, an eight hour and a sixteen hour. We have also added a K-9 class and will be hosting a Tactical Paramedic class.
We have spoken to members all over the State and they wanted to see more variety in the classes we provided at the Conference. We hope that you see that this year and want to ensure that you realize that each instructor puts a cap on the number of attendees that we can allow in each class. Some are twenty plus and some are around ten. These new classes will fill fast, as some of them have been requested for years. Last year’s Negotiations class was busting at the seems and we wanted to give them more options and ability to attend how they wanted and was best for their agency.
If you have been attending the ATOA for years, please pass onto your agency that we have varying patrol, K-9, and Negotiations classes this year.
I also want to inform you that prices have gone up again to $225 per person. Inflation and just prices overall have gone up across the board, from hotel fees to rental fees with everything we do. We understand that everyone’s budgets are strapped and we get it because ours is as well, but we are still one of the lowest overall priced Conferences in the country and you can still get instructor level courses for just $225 which will include not only your instructor certificate, but also the Vendor Show and the debriefs on Tuesday.
The last couple years, I have attended a Presidents Conference with other Tactical Assosciatioin Presidents from all over the country. Liablity Insurance and upgraded website needs are all things that cost money and we as an association need to be able to get this done to further the mission of our Association.
Just as an example, TTPOA (Texas) and OTOA (Ohio) utilize a website designer that when you leave your mandatory class review for a Conference class, the website sends your certificate to you, taking out the middle man, and getting it to you quicker. But this website designer costs money to hire and create the website for us.
We want to update the ATOA to the lastest and greatest everything, but it takes money. So we’ve made the difficult choice to raise the cost just a little.
Please get registered so you get your class you want. The Conference is October 6th thru 9th at the DoubleTree in Little Rock. Hotel rates will be available thru September 12th.
