*Please pray for the Soccer Party Club on Saturday Wye Mountain Community Church in CEF of Central Arkansas. (Janelle)

*Praise God for safe travels to and from CYIA of Kansas, a successful Junior CYIA with four students in CEF of NW Arkansas, and for a day-long training for a church wanting to have a party club and eventually start a Good News Club in the Berryville Elementary School. Please pray for Trinity Baptist Church in Berryville as they start ministry with us, a church VBS next week using CEF 5-Day Club material, a successful and well-attended 5-Day Club the following week in Siloam Springs, and for Madison’s husband’s summer internship and safety with the travel involved. *Please pray for more opportunities to hold party clubs, 5-Day Clubs, and mini VBS events this summer. Pray also for the training class our new volunteers, goodie bag preparation for Back to School Bashes, and for the Community Baby Shower where CEF of South Central Arkansas will be helping parents sign up for Trump Accounts and sharing the Gospel. *Please pray for details with a 5-Day Club location to work out at a site in the CEF of Arkansas - Northeast area. (Esther)

*Please pray for God to prepare the hearts of the children who will attend CEF clubs and outreaches this summer. Pray also for children who are attending church camps, VBS, and other Christian events this summer. Pray that God uses these all these outreaches to draw children to Himself and strengthen the faith of those who are already saved.

*Praise God for our first outreach in Ashley County in CEF of South Central Arkansas and for the new contacts made. Please pray for our three Soccer Party Clubs and two presentations this week. (Jo)

*Praise God for CEF of Central Arkansas being able to participate in and give out Gospel tracts at “Jake’s Day”, a family event put on by the National Wild Turkey Federation. (Janelle)

*Please pray for our summer ministry plans, and for many children to hear the Gospel through 5-Day Clubs, Soccer Party Clubs, VBS, camps, and outreach at community events.

*Please pray for the Soccer Party Club outreach this summer across Arkansas. Pray for each chapter to find the best locations for reaching children with a soccer-themed evangelistic party. Pray for opportunities to work with soccer leagues to offer the party to their players, and for new volunteers to get involved in this project.

CEF of Arkansas provides children's ministry training, equipping Christians to more effectively share the Gospel and disciple children. In addition to training volunteers for our ministry programs, we also desire to prepare children's workers for ministry in their own homes, churches, and neighborhoods. We offer workshops on a wide variety of topics, day-long seminars, and even a 33-hour in-depth college level course. Important Update concerning CYIA 2026:

Over the past months we at CEF of Arkansas have been preparing for Christian Youth in Action training, making improvements to our program, planning activities for the students, promoting CYIA, and inviting students to apply. Unfortunately, those who expressed interest did not register to attend. Because the minimum number of students needed in order to hold CYIA training was not met, we are regrettably cancelling Arkansas CYIA 2026.

Although disappointing, the cancellation brings up some opportunities:

• We will still have 5-Day Clubs in Arkansas this summer and will welcome teen and adult volunteers to help teach the children.
• We can hold 5-Day Club training for teens and adults (shorter than a full week of CYIA). At least one chapter already has a 5-Day Club training scheduled for a church.
• We can find other ways to mentor young people in children’s ministry skills or provide evangelism training.
• We will review our CYIA recruitment methods and consider changes to make CYIA more accessible to students in the future.
• We had one returning CYIA student who applied this year. Since we are cancelling, he will participate in CYIA in another state, and we are grateful that he can receive additional CYIA training, enjoy the fellowship of other Christian teens, and be prepared to teach 5-Day Clubs with his CEF chapter in Arkansas this summer. Please pray for Sam as he attends CYIA and serves with our Northwest Chapter this summer.

Please pray with us for God’s guidance and for effective ministry this summer.
