☘️ A Message from ICSA President Eimear Ryan Fuller ☘️
From Little Rock to Dublin… representing Arkansas on the world stage!
What an incredible honor it was to represent the Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas (ICSA) at the 2026 Global Irish Civic Forum in Dublin, Ireland.
The Forum brought together Irish community leaders from around the world to share ideas, celebrate our heritage, and strengthen the connections between Ireland and the global Irish diaspora. Being part of these conversations reminded me just how powerful our Irish communities are—no matter where in the world we call home.
One of the highlights of the Forum was hearing President of Ireland, Catherine Connolly, speak about the importance of the global Irish community and the vital role diaspora organizations play in preserving and promoting Irish culture around the world. I also had the opportunity to meet Minister of State Neale Richmond, whose work focuses on supporting Ireland's relationship with its global diaspora.
Another highlight was meeting leaders from Irish American and international Irish organizations. We shared ideas, exchanged experiences, and began building relationships that I believe will create exciting opportunities and lasting connections for the Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas. I'm excited to bring those ideas to Arkansas and explore ways we can continue to grow our organization and better serve our members.
As meaningful as the Forum was, some of my favorite moments from the trip came from spending time with my family. This is always my favorite part of any visit to Ireland. There's something incredibly special about sitting around the table together, sharing stories, laughter, and everyday life. Those are the moments I treasure most, and I returned to Little Rock with a grateful heart.
As I reflected on the week, I couldn't help but think about all of you. All the parades we've organized, cultural events we've celebrated, the volunteers who have given their time, and the members who have supported our mission and played a part in allowing Arkansas to be represented at this international gathering.
Our society may be based in Arkansas, but our impact reaches much farther than our state. I was proud to share the story of our organization and the incredible community we've built together over the years.
Thank you to every member, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter of the Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas. Your passion for Irish culture is what makes opportunities like this possible, and I'm excited for what the future holds as we continue building new friendships and connections around the world.
