The national week of action is set for June 1–7, 2026. Local groups such as The Strilite Foundation and advocates will organize and participate in town halls, panel discussions, forums, demonstrations, marches, rallies, candlelight vigils, inter-faith services, AIDS Memorial Quilt displays and social media campaigns in rural towns and urban neighborhoods nationwide.

Medical research, affordable access to healthcare, vaccines, and treatment, and strong public health systems are fundamental to quality of life, economic stability, workforce strength and national security.

Budget cuts to Medicaid, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are threats to the health of all Americans.

The cuts passed by Congress last year will not go into effect until after this fall’s election, when they will also cause harm local economies and the loss of more than one million jobs and billions in tax revenue. Did you know that last year, lawmakers passed over $1 trillion in health funding cuts as part of H.R. 1. The most severe human and economic consequences of these cuts will not take effect until later this year, which is why we need to make our voices heard now.

The Strilite Foundation has signed on as a supporter of the Seven Days in June: HEALTH IS PRIMARY which is a decentralized, nonpartisan, grassroots-driven campaign from June 1-7, 2026.

We believe that we must join the fight to expose and push back against these cuts and their devastating impact on our healthcare infrastructure. Health cuts kill, and communities across America – from rural towns to large cities – are already paying the price.

There are over 50 organizations partnering for Seven Days in June – including UNITE HERE, AFL-CIO, SEIU, NMAC and many others who represent millions of Americans who demand answers.

These people-powered organizations are now joined by actor and longtime healthcare advocate Noah Wyle. The son of a registered nurse and a fierce advocate for frontline workers, Wyle is amplifying our call to action: Health is not partisan. HEALTH IS PRIMARY.

We at TSF believe that healthcare is not be seen as an entitlement but a right that everyone must have access to! Share your thoughts with us at [email protected] Do it today!! See less

The Strilite Foundation applauds the next growth move of Arkansas RAPPS! TSF fully supports its latest acquisition in the House of LOVE housing initiative. Thank you to Realtor Patrick H. for believing in the timeline and for being laser focused on making it happen.

TSF is excited and agrees that we must share these teachable moment with our staff members because if each one does not teach one, we can't grow the all important intergenerational wealth.

Before you get your weekend started, let me remind you that next week is going to full of activities that you make want to put on your calendar right now!

The Arkansas HIV Reform & Justice Coalition is a collective of individuals, advocates, organizations and allies who are supporting reform to the state's current HIV Criminalization statue and the lack of state funding of HIV prevention and programs.

On April 28th, the group will be educating legislators at the State Capitol on the subject matter and highly encourages PLW and supporters to call your representatives and ask them to attend.
Get more info on this year's session at https://arkleg.state.ar.us/

It's important that Arkansas reforms our law to coincide with current science and that our state budget addresses the current drive to decrease new HIV infections in Arkansas by 90 percent by 2030.

The Pulaski Democrats County Convention is this Saturday, and we’re looking forward to a strong, energizing morning as we prepare for the work ahead of the November elections. The Strilite Foundation highly encourages folks from the LGBTQ community to get connected and intentionally involved.

📅 Saturday, April 25
⏰ Doors open at 8:45 AM | Convention begins at 9:00 AM
📍 Arkansas Pharmacists Association (417 S. Victory St., Little Rock)

What to Expect. We’ll conduct important party business, including: Confirming the DPPC membership; Electing delegates to the State Convention; Electing State Committee members

We’ll also hear from an outstanding group of speakers: Aliah Rowe, Vice President of the Young Democrats of Arkansas; Representative Alex Holladay, House District 70; and, Chris Jones, candidate for U.S. Congress.

Get Involved! You do not have to be a current member of the Democratic Party to participate on Saturday morning. County Convention is an open call for membership—you can join the morning of the convention, vote, and even run for State Committee!

👉 File to run for State Committee here: https://forms.gle/CF7vzumBXsmS8PHY6

Today is the final day to file in advance, but nominations will also be accepted from the floor. There is no requirement to file to run as a delegate to State Convention.

Voting & Results. All voting will take place in person at the County Convention, and all results will be announced during the meeting. To ensure fast and accurate results, all voting will be conducted electronically. Please note that proxy voting is not permitted.

Parking & Logistics. There is a small parking lot at the building, but most parking will be free street parking along Capitol Avenue. Nearby parking garages are also available if needed. We encourage you to arrive early to allow time for registration.

Food & Coffee. We’ll have coffee, water, and pastries from The Croissanterie—a great local favorite—to keep everyone fueled for the morning.

This convention is where we build the foundation for the months ahead. Your participation matters, and we hope you’ll join us.

The message was on point four years ago and it still resonates today. Currently the entire HIV funding apparatus is in peril from the current administration and if local folks think that they will not be impacted think again.

Get involved, get activated and engaged with letting elected officials know that we've come 40 years to far to stop now! Reach out to [email protected] for more info.

The Strilite Foundation/ Arkansas RAPPS Team is on the move across the city, state, and the mid-south for this year's National African American Leadership Conference On Health Disparities and Social Justice in person conference on May 28, 2026 - May 31, 2026 in historic Montgomery, Alabama.

I'm extremely proud that our organization's Poster Submission highlighting our "House of LOVE" concept produced by Program Manager, Rahem White, was accepted as a part of the conference activities.

This conference serves as a platform for Black MSM-serving organizations and individuals to exchange best practices and methodologies, functioning as both a think tank and a repository for Black MSM-related research.

Originally focused on HIV, the conference now places the Black MSM HIV epidemic within a broader framework of health disparities, social justice, and human rights—a recognition that addressing the social determinants and context of health is essential to combating the disease. As CEO, I fully agree that our focus needs to address and center the "wholeness and fullness," of those we serve.

Drawing a diverse audience of gay, bisexual, and same-gender-loving Black men in healthcare, LGBTQ advocacy, national community-based organizations, and professionals serving this demographic.

Congratulations to Rahem and staff on keeping us moving forward and upward! Learn more about us at www.stayreadyar.com
