In times of trial or transition, spiritual care can be a powerful source of comfort and strength. At Methodist Family Health, our Pastoral Care program can provide spiritual care and emotional support for all clients, staff and families across our continuum of care.

Led by Rev. Dr. Hammett Evans , Pastoral Care focuses on building genuine human connection through compassionate support.

Support can include weekly small groups for clients, one-on-one conversations, pastoral guidance, prayer, and collaboration with care teams to help individuals feel supported and encouraged.

Sometimes healing begins with something as simple as imagining what's possible. At our Methodist Children's Behavioral Hospital in Maumelle, children in treatment recently created "Jars of Dreams" filled with their hopes, goals, and dreams for the future.

Dreams and goals matter, especially when it comes to mental health journeys. When you have something meaningful to look forward to, it can help build confidence, reduce stress, and provide a sense of purpose.

Doesn't every child deserve the chance to dream about brighter days ahead? We are honored we get to walk alongside these children as they heal and rediscover hope.

We’re continuing our Business Development Team spotlight series with Bridgette Craig, our Northeast Arkansas Business Development Director.

Bridgette brings 26 years of experience in mental health, with an early career rooted in both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse services. Early in her career, she conducted inpatient assessments and served as a substance abuse counselor, where she also helped establish the Craighead County Drug Court.

Bridgette has been part of the Methodist Family Health team for 22 years, serving in a variety of roles including school-based services, residential treatment in Northeast Arkansas, and now in Business Development.

In her current role as NEA Business Development Director, she supports referral relationships, helps identify opportunities for connection and growth, and works to ensure strong communication between community partners and MFH programs.

We’re grateful for Bridgette’s long-standing commitment, leadership, and continued impact across Northeast Arkansas and beyond.

This mural inside our Methodist Children's Behavioral Hospital in Maumelle is more than encouraging words on a wall. It serves as a reminder for the children and families we serve every day that mental health is not about pretending everything is okay or forcing yourself to stay positive all the time. Real strength comes from learning how to face difficult emotions, talk about them openly, and move through them in healthy ways.

Being "tough" can look like asking for help.
It can look like expressing your feelings.
It can look like continuing forward one day at a time.

At Methodist Family Health, we want every child to know that hard moments do not define them and they don't have to face those moments alone.
