Thanks to the generosity of community donors, participants at Abilities Unlimited of Hot Springs now have guitars of their own to learn on through a generous donation. Even more special, local musician Dean Agus is volunteering his time and talent to teach the class, helping participants discover a new passion while building confidence and skills one lesson at a time.

Opportunities like these don’t happen without people who are willing to invest in others. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this program possible and to Abilities Unlimited for continuing to create meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of the people they support.

DDPA’s newly elected Board of Directors recently came together for their first board meeting!

It was great to have most of our board members attending in person, with a few joining by Zoom to ensure everyone could participate.

Your membership gives your organization a stronger voice.

Advocacy is an important part of what DDPA does for its members. Throughout the year, DDPA works to ensure the provider perspective is represented in conversations that can impact services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Arkansas.

That means building relationships with policymakers and state leaders, sharing information about the work providers are doing, bringing attention to challenges facing the provider community, and helping decision-makers understand how policies and decisions affect organizations, employees, individuals, and families.

As a DDPA member, your organization becomes part of a statewide network advocating for strong, sustainable services and a better future for the people we collectively serve.

You don’t have to advocate alone. Join DDPA and add your voice to a growing network of Arkansas providers.

Growing more than gardens. Growing opportunities.

It's been exciting to see so many DDPA member organizations creating gardens for the individuals they support! From planting seeds and caring for vegetables to harvesting the rewards, these gardens provide opportunities to build skills, encourage healthy living, and spend meaningful time together outdoors.

Today we're highlighting the garden at Life Styles, Inc. & Independent Living Services. Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos and for creating experiences that help individuals learn, grow, and connect with their community.
