This month we will have our Christmas Potluck Luncheon at our normal meeting place at Christ Episcopal Church, Sixth and Scott Streets, Little Rock , starting at 1:30 PM on Dec. 12. Bring a food of your choice.
We will not have a regular program, but we will have a silent auction for orchids that Jerry has procured from Carmela Orchids. If you have orchids in bloom, please bring them for show and tell. See you Sunday!

September 2021 Orchid Auction

This month we will be having our orchid auction in person at Christ Episcopal Church, Sixth and Scott Streets, Little Rock , starting at 1:30 PM on September 19. The orchids on offer will be from member’s own collections, as well as from orchid vendors. Jerry will have some of his own beautiful paphiopedilums, and I see that there are orchids ordered from Hawaii as well. Some plants will be mature and blooming and others will be younger and perhaps a year or two from blooming (and will cost less).
For those who have not attended before, you will come in at the kitchen entrance at the south-side parking lot. It is at the southeast corner of the building and has a little stoop with a few steps. (I expect to have a sign on the door.) Come on through to the meeting room. Please sign up at the check-in table to get your auction paddle (plate) with its unique number. As the auction proceeds, your winning bids will be recorded and totaled at the end of the auction. Cash and checks will be accepted for payment.
Members will be on hand to answer questions. Culture sheets for many types of orchids are available at https://www.aos.org/orchids/culture-sheets.aspx if you want to see ahead of time which orchids will be suitable for your growing conditions.
Snacks and drinks will be provided.

We were unable to have our Zoom program today for our meeting, in case you tried to log in. We do plan to have our orchid auction next month, so we will be posting more about that soon.
