The 2025 Arkansas Senior Olympics Cycling races are in the books. New records werre likely set by everyone. I mean what a fast Time Trial course, with some racers in the 5K TT going SUB - 7 MINUTES... Blazing fast!!

Thank you everyone!! We had racers today from central Arkansas, and from Mountain Home, AR, and Texarkana, TX, and we had a wonderful gentleman (79) who is from Northern Iowa that drove down to Little Rock yesterday all by himself just to race in our Arkansas Senior Olympics bicycle races today. Kudos and Gold 🏅 medals to everyone!

Also a big shout out and thank you to the Saline County Sheriff's Dept for sending 2 officers out this morning to slow the car traffic & assist in keeping the roads safe for all cyclists. And thank you Perry County Sheriff's too. And thank you Perry County Ambulance service crew that stayed around at the finish line to make sure all racers finished safely!!

Much gratitude and appreciation to everyone involved, especially to our volunteers and our cycling Race Director.

Way to Go Nelson!!

"He gave me my life back."
Lifelong athlete Nelson Lively continues to take home the trophies following bilateral knee replacement performed by joint replacement expert, Dr. Lowry Barnes at UAMS - University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences almost 7 years ago. He won the Arkansas Senior Olympics golf tournament, shooting 2 under 70. He also plays on the Arkansas Big Dogs Senior Basketball team and is headed to nationals next year, saying it's "all possible due to knee replacement."

2024 Badminton Tournament on Friday April 26th at the Springdale Recreational Center in Springdale, Arkansas. Time 12pm to 4pm. Check between 11:00am and 11:45am. All men and women ages 40 and up. Age group brackets 40-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, etc. in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
