Had a blast creating walkable sidewalks, collecting recycling ♻️ & picking up litter 🗑️ with these champions today!! Here’s hoping your next stroll down to the Capitol building will be more harmonious. 🙌

Thank you Quapaw Quarter Association for putting this event together.

My dear colleague Angela Bingham recently asked Metro for a quote about volunteering with the LRDNA Safe & Clean Streets Committee and he said almost exactly this: ⬇️⬇️

You know what kills anxiety?

Doing something.

Not thinking about doing something. Not planning to do something. Not meeting about doing something.

Actually doing it.

The same is true for your community. The towns that are stuck are stuck because everyone is waiting for someone else to go first. Waiting for permission. Waiting for the perfect plan. Waiting for the right moment.

The right moment is now. The perfect plan is starting. The permission you need is your own.

Go first. Someone has to.

Volunteer Opportunity!! THIS SUNDAY!!

Metro & Mrs. Gnome will be joining the good folks at the Quapaw Quarter Association and Keep Little Rock Beautiful to help keep our Downtown Litter Free! See the details in the flyer below. 👇

Make a friend, create an impact, leave with a story! Litter pick ups are always a good time.

Reasons yards become Neglected:

1 Broken Tool
1 Family Illness
1 Heatwave

All 3 of those happened to Metro in August.

When folks ask why MetroGnome spends so much time helping others, they often assume a neglected yard means its owner is lazy. Usually, there are other explanations.

Looking Forward to Cooler Temps, Buzzing Weed-Wackers, and more Gnoming!!

It’s always satisfying to see the Yard Waste piles. Behind every TREEmendous Thursday is a Gnome’s favorite recipe: Community Care, Time spent Tending, and a dash of Hope.
