Today is October 10th 2012 which just so happens to be my daughter Amelia's birthday. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me by far. Unfortunately, I've had quite a few negative things happen as well. As many of you who know me personally, I have a chronic disease called Crohn's. I was first diagnosed when I was around eight, so I've been dealing with it for quite some time. Which is b
oth a good and bad thing. It has made me who I am today. I had to have my first major surgery when I was thirteen years old, which wasn't easy for a teenage middle schooler. Especially trying to explain to classmates something I didn't understand. It did get better after the surgery and I am very, very thankful for those years. Lately though the situation has reared its ugly head, with a vengeance. I've had around ten surgeries in the past three months with plans for more, yay! That's why I'm asking for your help. I recently found out that they are doing amazing procedures in Israel and the success rate seems to be high from what I've read. I will be posting links periodically, so that you may read them for yourselves. I will also be updating my situation as well. Tomorrow I am opening a donations bank account for anyone who is willing to help me get to Israel and get this treatment started. Unfortunately it is not going to be cheap and I already have medical expenses that are somewhere in the six figure range. That sucks in itself, but my main goal is to get treatment started. I want to be able to walk my daughter down the aisle and meet my grandkids one day. And with this treatment I feel I just may be able to do that. Like I stated earlier, I will be updating periodically. Any help at all will be gratefully appreciated.
