We’ve been quiet on social media. But behind the scenes, we’ve been building something special. 📚

On World Dyslexia Day, we’re taking a moment to reflect on how far Reading Services of Arkansas has come—and why we’re working so hard to build what’s next.

What began with one dyslexia therapist working with students around a table at home has grown into a nonprofit organization with a dedicated team, school partnerships, and a new Community Literacy Center.

Today, our nearly 3,000-square-foot center includes six therapy rooms and a large community literacy space that we’re preparing for parent education, professional development, and community learning.

But we’re building more than a literacy center.

We’re building opportunities for children who struggle to read.

We’re building confidence in students who have spent too long believing they aren’t capable.

We’re building partnerships with families, schools, and educators who believe every child deserves access to effective reading instruction.

And we’re building a community where dyslexia is understood, struggling readers are supported, and a child’s story is never limited by their reading ability.

There’s still so much work ahead of us. And we’re just getting started.

This World Dyslexia Day, we’re celebrating the progress, the people who have made it possible, and the children who inspire us to keep building.

Reading Services of Arkansas has secured our next location, and we’re so grateful to be moving from three locations into one.

We’d love a few extra hands! Volunteers can help:

* Move boxes, supplies, and furniture
* Organize materials in the new space
* Help with light cleaning

This is a great opportunity for high school students who need community service hours.

RSA is a 501(c)(3) public charity, and we can verify volunteer hours or complete required service forms.

We’re thankful for every person who helps us get this new space ready for the families we serve.

At Reading Services of Arkansas, we know that investing in our educators is an investment in the children and families we serve.

This week, Brittney, Cameron and Emily attended the 2nd Annual Arkansas Regional Dyslexia Conference at University of Central Arkansas. Alongside other literacy professionals, we expanded our knowledge in dysgraphia, supporting English language learners with dyslexia, and the latest research in structured literacy.

Each new strategy, research update, and professional connection helps us provide stronger literacy instruction for the students and families we serve.

We love opportunities to continue learning so we can better serve every child and family who walks through our doors.
