🌧️ Rainy days are behind us, and summer is right around the corner! ♟️☀️
Today is a great day for chess! Join us for another exciting session of the Georgia Mae Morris Critical Thinkers, Problem Solvers, and Readers Chess Program at the Dunbar Community Center.
We've been enjoying some wonderful chess sessions with players of all ages. Parents are learning alongside their children, friendships are being built, critical thinking skills are growing, and everyone is having a great time.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, we invite you to come out and be a part of the fun. Bring the whole family and discover why chess is one of the best games for the mind!

What a beautiful and unforgettable celebration honoring the legendary Florence Price. 💜🎶
The Dunbar Historic Neighborhood Association would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the Florence Price Birthday Celebration such a meaningful success.
Special thank you to Dunbar Magnet Middle School for hosting us in the beautiful Florence Price Auditorium, and to Principal Mr. Cain, the teachers, staff, students, and volunteers for your incredible hospitality and support.
A very special thank you to Ms. Watson-Joyner for her dedication and leadership throughout this celebration.
We are also deeply grateful to our educational sponsors, the Little Rock School District and the National Park Service, for helping us continue to preserve and uplift Black history, music, arts, and culture.
Thank you to Meadow Park Elementary School, the Dunbar Magnet Middle School Choir, and the talented students and directors from Little Rock Central High School for your outstanding performances and participation.
