Thank You, Pinnacle District!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended the 2026 Pinnacle District Camporee at Willow Beach Park! We had a fantastic time with a good turnout of Scouts and leaders, beautiful weather, and plenty of fun as we refreshed our back-to-the-basics Scouting skills. It was wonderful to see Scouts working together, learning, and enjoying the outdoors while strengthening the skills that make Scouting so special.
This event would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers. A special thank you to Todd Hill, Troop 427, and Brad Chilcote for their hard work, leadership, and commitment to making this Camporee a success. We appreciate everyone who helped make the weekend memorable. We look forward to seeing you at our next Pinnacle District event! Get out and Scout!

Scouting U Announces a New Hazardous Weather Course - Weather Smart

Weather can change in an instant. Are you prepared to make the right decision when it does? Whether it’s a campout, hike, service project, or high-adventure trek, weather is key to planning a safe Scouting activity.

This new course gives leaders practical guidance to:
• Monitor changing weather conditions
• Understand watches and warnings
• Recognize severe weather risks
• Develop emergency action plans
• Know when and how to take protective action

From thunderstorms and extreme temperatures to flooding, severe storms, and hurricanes, the course focuses on real-world situations Scouting leaders may encounter.

Take the course before your next outdoor adventure and become Weather Smart!

You will be able to access this replacement course at the BSA Learn Center, https://training.scouting.org/

Please note - If you started the course but did not complete it, you will receive this new version when you relaunch the course.
