💙Who is planning to attend AAD Safe Space 2 on Saturday, October 24th?

🤍We will be having a Taco Salad Potluck! AAD will provide the ground beef and ground turkey.We would love to know what everyone plans to bring so we can make sure we have everything we need and avoid bringing the same items.

💙VOTER EDUCATION 🤍

AAD is proud to recognize our Board Trustee, Lana Rogers, for hosting a Voter Education Workshop last weekend!Lana did an excellent job, and we appreciate her dedication to educating and empowering our Deaf community. When another person was unable to attend, AAD President Kitsonia Jones stepped in to help. Together, Lana and Kitsonia demonstrated outstanding teamwork, leadership, and commitment. They worked together to make the workshop a success, and everyone enjoyed the prizes!

💙🤍We also want to thank AAD President Kitsonia Jones for believing in others, encouraging their abilities, and creating opportunities for people to grow into leadership roles. A safe space gives our youth the opportunity to feel welcomed, respected, heard, and understood. It allows them to share their experiences, express their feelings, discuss challenges, learn from one another, and discover solutions together without fear of judgmentOur youth are the future of our Deaf community, and their voices matter! We must create opportunities for them to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and know that they are never alone.
