Good afternoon, everyone.

Several people have contacted me with questions about the official colors of Juneteenth. The Juneteenth flag is red, white, and blue. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™ It was created by Ben Haith in 1997, and he also founded the National Juneteenth Celebration Foundation.

Please do not confuse the Juneteenth flag with the Pan-African flag.

The Pan-African flag uses red, black, β€οΈπŸ–€πŸ’šand green to represent global Black unity, liberation, and shared African ancestry.

The Juneteenth flag uses red, white, and blue β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™and includes a centered starburst. It represents the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States, a new beginning, a new horizon, and the recognition that Black Americans are an important part of American history and identity.

I hope this explanation helps everyone understand the difference between the Pan-African flag and the Juneteenth flag. Thank you. ✊🏾

Have you learned about the Grandmother of Juneteenth, Ms. Opal Lee? We're starting our weeklong Freedom Day celebrations by paying tribute to the woman who championed Juneteenth's status as a FEDERAL HOLIDAY. Ms. Lee walked 2.5 miles every day to symbolize the two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation that enslaved people in Texas finally learned they had been freed. And in 2021, she witnessed President Joe Biden signing the Juneteenth Independence Day Act, making Juneteenth a federal holiday in the U.S. THANK YOU, our 46th U.S. President Joe Biden!

Guess what, I got Opal Lee Barbie, and look at her, she's so beautiful, and I admire her as a STRONG advocate the reason I am also an advocate
