Welcome to the official page of the Gamma Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. on the campus of Philander Smith College.

We are a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support to the underserved. The Gamma Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on April 27, 1942. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world.

Founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University, the Sorority is currently a sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college educated women. This includes over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Physical and Mental Health, Educational Development, Political Awareness and Involvement, and International Awareness and Involvement. The Gamma Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. had the honor of attending the 2026 Blazing Southwest Regional Conference in Grapevine, Texas.
The chapter proudly brought home the Collegiate Highest GPA Award once again, continuing its tradition of academic excellence.
Soror Zaynab Johnson had the opportunity to take a photo with Gwendolyn E. Boyd, the 22nd National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Additionally, both Soror Woods and Soror Johnson had the privilege of meeting Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, a legendary civil rights activist and trailblazer.
Attending this conference was an incredible opportunity, and the chapter sorors left with valuable experiences, meaningful connections, and inspiration to continue making an impact in their communities and beyond. 💜❤️🤍

Spring Fest was a success, and we loved connecting with everyone on campus! From our Sexual Health Table to sharing information about our sisterhood, the chapter was proud to be present and impactful at Philander Smith University’s Spring Fest.

Last Sunday, members of the Gamma Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta sorority inc. had the honor and privilege of gathering for Pancakes with the Presidents Brunch. ❤️🥞

We were especially grateful to fellowship with the Past President of the Little Rock Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and to hear powerful words from our Southwest Regional Director, Crystal T. Barker. Listening to her speak about her journey and how her roles in Delta have continued to rise since joining our illustrious sisterhood was both inspiring and motivating.

Moments like these remind us of the legacy we uphold and the excellence we strive for. ❤️🤍
