What started as a local sewing ministry to help families honor the dignity of their stillborn baby has steadily outgrown central Arkansas. Now, the Holy Sews ministry is asking for support.

So many things happening for Holy Sews, Inc. founding chapter right now!

THE most important thing is our upcoming work day on Sunday, August 9.

Yes, there WILL be a work day. ✅
We just don’t yet know exactly where we will be. 🤷🏼‍♀️
We have been given some fantastic space, but we cannot yet reveal the location. 😉

Representatives from Holy Sews visited last week to thank MFA for a recent grant to support this ecumenical ministry, which addresses perinatal bereavement through handmade clothing for miscarried and stillborn infants, compassion for those grieving these losses, and educating communities on caring for families who have experienced infant loss. The grant will help fund the Mending Hearts Project based here in Arkansas. Holy Sews has grown from a Little Rock-based ministry to one with six chapters serving hospitals in the U.S. and Canada, plus military hospitals around the world. We always look forward to attending the International perinatal bereavement conference (IPBC), hosted by Perinatal loss infant death alliance (PLIDA).

We were excited to give away 600 layettes this week. We gained many new hospital contacts as well.

Exhausted and energized, we will make our way back to Little Rock in time for the work day for our founding chapter.
