As the crisis in Syria unfolds, SETF connects communities in the US to sustain a kindergarten for orphans, The Wisdom House, and a women's center, Tomorrow's Dawn. The Syrian Emergency Task Force established a school, The Wisdom House, for orphans in Idlib, Syria in early 2016. Because of the amazing people who wants to help, the school is provided all operational costs, a bus, teacher salaries, s

chool supplies, and technology for over 120 Syrian Elementary students. In addition to the Kindergarten, SETF also opened a Women's Center, Tomorrow's Dawn in Idlib, Syria that offers vocational courses and educational workshops to women, many widows of war, and their community in Idlib. We continue to ask for support and engagement for anyone who'd like to get more involved for this incredible initiative to not only support but also connect and provide emotional support to these children and teachers across the globe.

في هذا الأسبوع من سوريا في أمريكا، نسلط الضوء على العمل المؤثر الذي تقوم به المنظمة السورية للطوارئ (SETF)، وهي منظمة غير ربحية مقرها الولايات المتحدة تأسست في عام 2011 لدعم السوريين خلال الأزمة الإنسانية. أنشأت المنظمة السورية للطوارئ مدرسة للأيتام، "بيت الحكمة" في شمال حلب، بالإضافة إلى "فجر الغد"، وهو مركز للنساء ومدرسة ثانوية للبنات في إدلب. كما أسسوا صيدلية الأمل في مخيم الركبان التي توفر الدواء مجانًا لسكان المخيم.

In this week of Syria in America, we highlight the impactful work of the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF), a U.S.-based non-profit founded in 2011 to support Syrians during the humanitarian crisis. SETF established a school for orphans, “Wisdom House” in northern Aleppo, as well as "Tomorrow's Dawn," a center for women and a high school for girls in Idlib. They also established Hope Pharmacy in Rukban camp which provides medicine at no cost to the residents of the camp.

SETF also plays a crucial role in advocacy, influencing policy and raising awareness about Syria's challenges. Through these efforts, SETF builds bridges between the U.S. and the Syrian people, promoting education, empowerment, and human rights.
