Arkansas Access to Justice We believe that every Arkansan deserves justice, regardless of whether they can afford a lawyer.

Our mission is coordinate statewide efforts to ensure that all Arkansans have a fair opportunity to be heard in court in civil matters, not just those who can afford legal representation. We work with a variety of other partners who share our vision, and together, we undertake innovative projects to accomplish this mission, as well as efforts to increase the financial and pro bono resources available to meet the civil legal needs of low-income Arkansans.

Congratulations to our 2026 AATJ Law School Scholarship Essay Competition winners!

Arkansas Access to Justice Foundation awarded four $2,500 scholarships to law students who submited original essays on access to justice. This year's winners were selected from a competitive pool of entries addressing one of two prompts: what access to justice issue matters most to them, or the pros and cons of AI tools in bridging the justice gap.

Please join us in congratulating:
Mason Bravo, University of Arkansas School of Law
Asia Sanders, UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law
Yvonne Rodriguez, UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law
Montae'l Williams, UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law

Each of these students brought a personal perspective to the issue of access to justice, and we're proud to help support their legal education.

We look forward to celebrating them at our Access to Justice Month Kickoff on October 2. To sponsor or buy tickets, visit AA2J.org/kickoff.

Congratulations to each of our scholarship winners, and thank you for the passion you bring to this work.
