On Monday, August 25th, 1969, the school opened up to serve students in the southeast part of Pulaski County. Mills quickly diversified when The University Studies program was added in 1994, attracting students from all zones in the PCSSD. It has been an integral part of the

school’s identity ever since. The program helped Mills achieve a national ranking of 20 in 2003. Extracurricular activities at the school have always been competitive, and Mills boasts championships across many different sports.

On February 13th, Mills alumnus Ricardo Richardson '06 welcomed his first child. The following Tuesday, he suffered a stroke. He’s started to make progress in recovery, but still has a long way to go. Neither him nor his fiancee are able to work for the foreseeable future. They have created a GoFundMe to assist with supporting their family until they can get back to work. Please consider donating and/or sharing this post:
