Three years ago yesterday, Arkansas Kendo Club was spared and also granted new challenges after the Little Rock Tornado wiped out our dojo. Just a few hours later, and our members would have been in this space practicing. We are grateful that none of our members were injured that day.

Arkansas Festival Ballet in Breckenridge Village had been AKC’s home for nearly 20yrs. We watched members grow from children to adults in this space, babies to young adults. We will forever be grateful for the time spent there.

Through a flurry of group effort, AKC moved locations within the same weekend and began practicing at Esporta Fitness. Thankful for a new space so quickly, the club continued to grow!

We are now so grateful for Unity Martial Arts opening their doors and arms to Arkansas Kendo Club. Through tragedy came a perfect fit for our little club.

Forever grateful for the space we now call our club’s home, we will never forget where we came from!

Arkansas Kendo Club had a wonderful weekend with our friends from Memphis Kendo Assoc. Thank you all for coming and for sharing your knowledge with us and for contributing to an awesome weekend! We cant wait to do this again!

An update about our new location!

We’re excited to share that our dojo has a new home! Our time training at ESPORTA Gym has been meaningful, but with new ownership and increased rental costs, continuing there is no longer possible for us.
