🌱 Real Impact. Real Stories. Real Change.

When communities come together, transformation happens.

Meet Nitin Chavan, a farmer from Undargaon in Solapur, Maharashtra. After devastating floods destroyed farmlands in his village, support from BMM and Save Indian Farmers helped provide a motor pump—giving him and others a lifeline to rebuild their livelihoods.

Today, on his 5 acres of land, his sugarcane crop stands strong—growing waist-high. With access to water, not just Nitin, but even neighboring farmers have been able to revive farming, including cultivating grapes.

But the journey is far from easy.

With new water restrictions limiting irrigation for weeks, farmers like Nitin continue to depend on uncertain conditions—balancing hope, resilience, and constant challenges.

💬 “Keep asking about us so we feel someone cares.” is what Nitin said when our volunteers reached out.

This is what impact looks like:
✔️ Restoring livelihoods
✔️ Empowering farmers
✔️ Creating hope where there was despair

Every contribution, every effort, every connection matters.

Let’s continue to stand with our farmers—not just in crisis, but every step of the way.

🙏 Support. Share. Stay Connected.

From Devastation to Hope: Restoring Water to Undargaon 🚜💧

When the Seena River overflowed recently, it didn’t just wash away crops—it swept away the lifelines of local farmers. In Undargaon village, irrigation systems were destroyed, leaving fields dry and families helpless at the start of the cropping season.

But thanks to your support and our partnership with MANAVLOK and Brihan Maharashtra Mandal, USA, we didn't let this disaster become a permanent setback.

The Impact:

15 small and marginal farmers who lost everything received new 5 HP to 10 HP electric motor pumps and pipelines.

50–60 acres of farmland have had their irrigation restored.

Confidence reinstated: We’ve helped families avoid economic distress and the risk of migration.

Seeing water flow back into these fields is a reminder of what we can achieve together. Thank you for helping us turn a crisis into a recovery.

💧 1.3 Million Liters of Water Recharged Annually in Bhor Tehsil!

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our "Borewell Yield Enhancement & Groundwater Recharge" project in Bhor Tehsil, Pune District. By implementing innovative BoreCharger technology, we are ensuring sustainable water security for our farmers.

The Impact: ✅ 10 Borewells successfully recharged. ✅ 1,384,179 Liters of potential annual water recharge created. ✅ 514% Improvement in recharge efficiency compared to natural processes. ✅ Directly boosting farm productivity and protecting livelihoods against weather shocks.

This project was a true team effort! 🤝 Collaborator: A huge thank you to Rotary Club Gandhi Bhavan for their partnership in making this a reality. 🛠️ Implementation Partner: Urdhvam Technologies for their patented "BoreCharger" technology that revives low-yielding wells without excavation. ❤️ Special Gratitude: To Patil Kulkarni Farms (Atlanta), whose dedicated fundraiser in Pune raised the vital funds needed to bring this project to life.
Together, we are making every drop count for India's farmers. 🌾

Today, our volunteer Mahesh Wani, visited our project site in Hirapur village (Chalisgaon Taluka, Jalgaon district), and we are incredibly proud of the work done by the Sewa Sahayog Foundation (SSF) with the support of SIF.

The scale of work completed is truly impressive: ✅ 4,715 CuM of desilting completed. ✅ 4.7 Million Litres of water harvesting capacity created. ✅ 1,266 Tractor Trolleys of silt transported.

What makes this project even more special is the Community Contribution. The villagers themselves took ownership, bearing the transportation cost for 916 trolleys (₹1,83,200)! The remaining 350 trolleys (₹70,000) were supported by SSF.

This initiative is a game-changer for the local community, directly impacting over 250 farming families and indirectly supporting another 400+ families. 🌾

It’s amazing to see what can be achieved when a dedicated team and a committed community come together!

Hear directly from Shanthi, a dedicated farmer and beneficiary of the sustainable horticulture project funded by Save Indian Farmers and implemented by PEAS Trust in Tamil Nadu.

Shanthi's story is a testament to the power of organic farming and training:

High Yields: She's seeing incredible harvests, picking up to 40kg of brinjals, 20kg of okra, and 25kg of tomatoes during the season!

Empowered & Trained: Shanthi received seeds for main crops (Brinjal, Tomato, Lady's finger, Chilies) and materials to start her cultivation. She learned how to produce organic inputs like Panchakavya at the intensive training sessions.

Innovator & Entrepreneur: She's using creative methods like tea leaves and sweet lime peels as fertilizer, and she's even selling brinjal saplings for extra income! This matches the project's goal of helping farmers set up side businesses related to farming.

Sustainable Practices: She only uses ash to keep away pests, following the guidance received during farm visits by the Agriculture Officer.

Thank you to our donors for making this success possible! Your support is directly leading to good yields and fair prices for organically produced horticulture.

💡 Sustainable Farming is Profitable Farming! 💰

Great news from the field! Our partnership with PEAS Trust is yielding fantastic results for 25 marginal farmers in Lalgudi Taluk.

Through your support, these farmers are seeing a significant transformation:
Good Harvest: Farmers reported a good harvest this season and are happy that the project helped reduce their input costs (fertilizers and pesticides).
Expert Training: Farmers received hands-on training from experts like Dr. C. Sivaranjani and pioneer farmers on everything from soil conservation to producing organic inputs like vermin compost and herbal pesticides.
Better Quality: The vegetables produced are fresh, green, and shiny, unlike those produced using chemical inputs.
With rising demand and lower expenses, we are strengthening the financial sustainability of these farmers!
