Today, we celebrate Juneteenth—a day of freedom, resilience, and reflection.
On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom. Juneteenth stands as a powerful reminder of the ongoing pursuit of liberty, justice, and equality for all.
As we honor the sacrifices and achievements of those who came before us, we also celebrate the leaders, changemakers, and young people who continue to shape our communities and carry forward the legacy of excellence.
May we use this day to learn, reflect, serve, and recommit ourselves to building a more equitable future.
Happy Juneteenth! ❤️🖤💚💛
