Little Rock Tornado Relief Disaster Recovery
Hi Neighbor,
A few of our board members attended a meeting at AGAPE last night, where it was announced that FEMA has allocated a combined $20.8 million to assist neighborhoods impacted by the March 31, 2023 disaster in re-establishing the area.
The funding will focus on addressing infrastructure restoration, improvements to neighborhoods and public parks, residential damage not covered by insurance, and debris removal from residential, public, and HOA/POA properties.
It’s important to note that any damage already covered by insurance will not be eligible for this assistance.
We strongly encourage all residents to complete the initial survey linked below. This will help the City of Little Rock and FEMA conduct a preliminary assessment to determine where these funds should be allocated.
The survey deadline is approximately 30 days from now (around May 3rd). Once the initial assessment is complete, a more formal application process will follow (estimated to be a few months later).
On January 16th, 2025, a new Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) allocation notice was released by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the Federal Register Notice . Link to Notice
