Some of our Southern Legacy of Life team recently traveled to Milwaukee for a meaningful opportunity to learn, grow, network, and connect with others in the donation community.
The conference was a great reminder of the importance of professional development and sharing knowledge as we continue working together to restore lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation.

We’re also proud to see our team represented through the AMAT Latino Committee, where Essau Corona serves as Co-Chair. During the conference, the committee created a Día de los Mu***os altar to honor donors and loved ones who have passed. 🕯️🌼

Traditions like these create meaningful connections between donation and Latino culture while honoring the lives and legacies of those who gave the gift of life.

During Southern Heritage Classic weekend in Memphis, Mid-South Transplant Foundation staff and ambassadors across the city sharing education and resources about organ and tissue donation.

Community Relations Coordinator Mary Beck connected with healthcare and clinical services students at South Panola High School while Ambassadors Vanessa Brocks and Marvis McNeil represented the mission at the Southern Heritage Classic Fashion Show.

Meanwhile, additional Mid-South Transplant staff and outreach team members joined the tailgate celebration before the big game, partnering with Southern Legacy of Life to provide information, answer questions and encourage conversations about the lifesaving impact of organ and tissue donation.

From classrooms to community events to one of Memphis’ biggest cultural weekends, we’re proud to meet people where they are and continue spreading a message that can save and heal lives.
