Meet the inaugural cohort of Create at the Capitol! 🎉

Selected through a competitive application process, these emerging leaders will spend a day at the Arkansas State Capitol engaging directly with statewide elected officials, legislative leaders and lobbyists to gain a firsthand understanding of the issues shaping Arkansas.

They’ll learn how policy is developed, explore the legislative process and even have the opportunity to develop and advance their own bill.

At Create Little Rock, we believe investing in young professionals means investing in the future of our state. Create at the Capitol is designed to equip the next generation of leaders with the knowledge, relationships and civic experience to make an impact in Arkansas. 💪

We’re incredibly grateful for programs like Power of the Purse that shine a light on women who are creating meaningful change across Arkansas. ❤️

Create Little Rock was honored to attend this year’s Women's Foundation of Arkansas luncheon and celebrate three remarkable women whose leadership and service continue to make an impact: Hon. Lottie Shackelford, Marsha Martin, and Mandy Macke.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with inspiration, connection, and a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we invest in women and the communities they serve.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful event and such an important cause. We’re proud to celebrate alongside you! 👏✨

✨ Create Little Rock Board Member Spotlight: Kiana Waits ✨

Meet Kiana Waits, a Create Little Rock Board Member and member of the VCC Construction team!

After moving to Little Rock from a small town, Kiana discovered that finding community made all the difference. Through Create Little Rock, she’s connected with an amazing network of fellow young professionals while discovering everything our city has to offer. ❤️

From Little Rock’s people and culture to its incredible food, shopping and endless things to do, Kiana says Create has helped turn a new city into a place that feels like home.

"I love Create Little Rock because it’s connected me with an amazing community of fellow young professionals. Moving here from a small town, navigating the capital city came with a few challenges, but finding such a welcoming community quickly made Little Rock feel like home. I love that I’m able to grow, explore, and experience everything the city has to offer- from great people and culture to even better food. Plus, there’s always something to do, and it doesn’t hurt that my favorite shopping spots are only minutes away!"

We’re so grateful to have Kiana helping Create Little Rock build connections, explore the city and make it easier for young professionals to find their place here!
