How are smartphones, social media, artificial intelligence, and online privacy shaping the lives of young people today?

In the latest episode of ArkBar On Air: President's Mic, Arkansas Bar Association President Jamie Jones Walsworth is joined by Jennifer Donaldson, Meredith Lowry, and Duke Law Professor Casey Mock for a conversation inspired by Jonathan Haidt's The Anxious Generation. The conversation explores youth mental health, technology, and practical solutions for families and communities.

Continue the conversation at next week's Annual Meeting with two sessions featuring Casey Mock and Thursday afternoon's JLAP Well-Being Ethics program, which will explore lawyer well-being, mental health, and resilience in the legal profession.

Today we honor and remember the brave individuals who sacrificed their lives in service to our country.

We are grateful for the many members of the Arkansas Bar Association community who have served and continue to serve our country through military service, while also serving their communities through the legal profession.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Legal Hall of Fame Speaker Series featuring former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Rodney Slater at the Arkansas Judiciary’s Civic Education Center.

It was an honor to hear Secretary Slater share reflections on leadership, public service, and the law’s role in shaping our communities. The afternoon also featured introductions by Tim Cullen and Jerry Jones, with Marty Sullivan and Brian Rosenthal Rose Law Firm moderating the discussion.

Guests had the opportunity to explore the Civic Education Center’s new exhibit highlighting the history of the Arkansas judiciary and to view Secretary Slater’s Legal Hall of Fame feature on the interactive kiosk.

Thank you to the Administrative Office of the Courts and all who helped make the evening such a meaningful event.
