We are very excited to have Jessica Taylor, CPA, Consulting Executive at HoganTaylor, join our Accounting and Finance Women's Alliance Group (AFWA)! Jessica provides outsourced accounting and advisory support to organizations across a range of industries. Drawing on experience in both assurance and finance leadership, she partners with clients on CFO- and controller-level needs—from financial reporting and strategy to process improvement, internal controls, audit readiness, and growth initiatives.
A proud Arkansas State University graduate, Jessica brings practical insight and a client-focused approach to helping organizations make confident financial decisions.

To say we enjoyed Daniel Meador, CPA, coming to speak to our AFWA group is an understatement! We appreciate Daniel speaking to us for the 3rd year about all things ! We had a great discussion, learned a lot, and had a great time networking with our friends. Please join us for the next AFWA meeting on 9/22 to get an introduction to the 530A Trump Accounts with our very own board members, Lesley Nalley, RICP®, and Stacey Atchison! Both Nickole and Fran are exceptional accountants who will bring tremendous value to our board of directors and to our membership. I’ve had the privilege of knowing both of them for many years, and I truly can’t express how excited I am to serve alongside them in advancing AFWA’s mission: to empower women in accounting and finance to achieve their full potential and contribute meaningfully to their profession.

Excited to host our upcoming July AFWA meeting on "Board Governance", with our meeting space sponsored by the Ronald McDonald House Arkansas & North Louisiana!

We’re honored to welcome Cindy Hovis Boyle, CPA, of Boyle Consulting, LLC, as our featured speaker. Cindy brings deep expertise in board training, consulting, and C-suite coaching and currently serves as a Vistage Chair, facilitating peer groups for CEOs and key leaders.

Recently retired as the National Practice Leader of Forvis Mazars' IT Risk and Compliance Practice, Cindy is a CPA, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and holds a CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight from Carnegie Mellon. She serves on multiple boards, including Delta Dental of Arkansas, Renaissance Health Service Corporation, and Omega Administrators, Inc., and is a founding board member of the Leadership Foundation for Women.

We can't wait to learn from Cindy's wealth of governance and leadership experience and to have it hosted by the house. Attendees will get the opportunity to tour the Ronald McDonald House Arkansas & North Louisiana at the end of Cindy's presentation to get a firsthand look at the incredible work the house, volunteers, and donors are doing for our families and children in our community.

We had an incredible time at our Mahjong Fundraiser last week! 🀄

Thanks to an amazing turnout, we were able to raise meaningful support for local Accounting and Finance students. It was inspiring to see our community come together for such an important cause.

From beginners to seasoned players, everyone jumped in to learn the game, share a few laughs, and enjoy the camaraderie. The energy in the room was fantastic, and it truly made the night special.

We’re thrilled to share that the event completely sold out, as there was so much interest and enthusiasm for gatherings like this! Because of that, we’re already planning the next one!
