The AAC attempts to rewrite Scott Perkins' personal narrative since 2017. Our reporting showed the AAC Machine extracted him, stole his narrative with a false blitz of mistruths on his character. They did iit then when they rempved him. Several witnesses at Saline County Quorum Court Meeting just last week reported Josh Curtis, Saline Counyt JP and AAC Governmental Affairs Director, said Scott was a criminal, fired for casue and to go check Court Connect. That was just last week. And one and a half years after my departurte, Chris double downs in the dirtiest way to make sure Scott Perkins stays down.

Part 2 I had to sit with it.

What's the REAL "preferential treatment" in Arkansas?
Hint: It's not DEI. It's the last names that open doors, the spouses getting appointed, and the handpicked successors who never face voters.
The hypocrisy is written into law. We tracked it all.

While lawmakers erect a legal fortress against race and gender considerations, they operate a backchannel system of family ties and political patronage that locks voters out.

🚨 BREAKING INVESTIGATION 🚨

The “Saline County Mafia” just pulled off a political heist in broad daylight — and you paid for it.

On the last day to file for office, longtime Saline County Clerk Doug Curtis (R) announced he wouldn’t run again. Within hours, only one person filed for the job: Trevor Villines, son of the powerful head of the Association of Arkansas Counties.

No election. No debate. Just a handpicked heir.

But this isn’t just about Benton and the good ole' boys of Saline County. It’s about preserving a seat on the board of the AAC—a multimillion-dollar organization that YOUR county dues fund.

These players hired each other’s sons years ago. They sit on boards that oversee each other’s jobs. They silence critics with threats and severance checks.

I know because I was one of them. I, Scott Perkins, was the Legislative and Communications Director at the Association of Arkansas Counties — and the liaison to the Arkansas Association of County Clerks. I was quietly fired after questioning these relationships and forced to sign an overly broad and secretive nondisclosure agreement. Chris, Josh, Mark, LB and their collective county cronies have intended professional harm on me, especially when I showed up in 2023 to kill some of their poorly drafted bills designed to kill government transparency. That story will be shared on our Substack this afternoon. Then they sent "outside firm" lawyers after me to shut me up via a cease-and-desist letter (previously reported at ArkLeg Bill Tracker).

We won’t be silent.

Janie Ginocchio’s latest report connects ALL the dots. This is how power really works in Arkansas — and why you should care.

Talk about a legal drama! 🍿 The Arkansas State Highway Commission is trying to step into the City of Fayetteville’s court case with a local landowner, and it’s all about the Highway 112 widening project.

The state says the landowner, Transport Realty, is playing both sides in two different lawsuits. In one, they admit the state’s taking of the land was “lawful.” In the other, they won a huge judgment against the state for unlawfully taking it. The state’s calling foul.

But the city and the landowner are saying, “Not so fast!” They want the judge to keep the state out, arguing it’s a separate matter and the state’s motion is flawed.

This all comes after the state missed key deadlines, lost an appeal, and is now facing the possibility of paying millions more for the highway project.

What do you think? Is the landowner working the system, or is the state trying to fix its own mistakes by complicating someone else’s case?

This is why you get frustrated with government. A series of unbelievable failures by the Arkansas State Highway Commission is about to hit your wallet for millions.

Let's break down how a simple land purchase turned into a multi-million dollar disaster for Arkansas taxpayers.

The state wanted a small piece of land in Washington County for Highway 112. Here's what went wrong:

Failure #1: They Didn't Do Their Homework. The state offered $227,000 but completely failed to realize that taking the land would landlock the rest of the property. This destroyed a functional trucking dock, forcing ABF Freight to spend over $5 million to find a new home.

Failure #2: They Ignored a Lawsuit. When the landowner sued for the true damage, the state IGNORED the court paperwork. Because they didn't even respond, the judge automatically ruled against them.

Failure #3: They Missed Their Chance to Appeal. The state then waited too long to appeal the decision, missing a critical deadline. Last week, the Court of Appeals threw their case out.

The Result? The case goes back to court to determine the final bill, and the landowner is asking for over $6 million. This wasn't an accident; it was a series of negligent acts from start to finish.

This is your tax money. This is why accountability in our government agencies matters.
