We've been asked about the Degree Team, who they are, what is our Vision, how to join and how to have them come and support your Lodge. I will do my best to answer each.
Who is the Team, that's simple we are a group of Brothers who have put our hearts into helping serve the Craft in the Adopted Ritual. We are basically just like you, we want to give that Candidate his best degree possible. We as well accept the fact that we all are human and as such are prone to make mistakes. In fact we dont believe a Mason makes mistakes, we just do it differently from time to time. We absolutely do not believe that DURING or AFTER a degree we should ever think it necessary to go and "remind him of his errors", we have Schools and Practices to accomplish that. We believe in encouraging our members not tearing them down for making a "mistake".
Our Vision, simple. Our Vision is to give that Candidate the best degree he can. Not only do wd do our best to recite it according to the adopted Ritual but more importantly, how do we communicate the idea of the degree. We choose a member based upon his willingness to learn and polish his Ritual but moreso we look for those who are humble and fully understand it's not about them being the star, the Candidate and Lessons we seek to inculcate is the star.
How do you join? Same as how you came to the Craft, ask. Couldn't be easier. But you may ask, what if im not Ritualistic perfect? That's easier. All we ask is for you to be willing to practice and learn. Our Vision is to draw as many people into the beauty of our Ritual and to show them that Ritual can be fun. We believe that encouragement is of more value than stern correction. Come and visit us and see and feel the difference in our methods of Instruction.
Finally how do I invite the Team. Even simpler. Our State Wide Director of Work "hehehe" is Richard "Doc" Smith. He is our point of contact to schedule your degree. We don't just do Master's Degrees. We believe that all Degrees are important but none moreso than the EA degree. That's the Candidate's first impression of the Craft and if you have any hopes of retaining him, it better be a good one. So do not hesitate to call us for any help you need. But as well please understand this, we do not show up with our Hats in our hands expecting to take over your Lodge. For we understand it is your Lodge, your Candidate and His Degree, we are just servants. We will be just as happy to fill in the spots as needed. If you have a member who wants to fill a particular role we are good with that. In fact we want to inspire your members to work. I hope that answers your questions.
