Why Serve on the ARNF Board?
Serving on the Foundation Board is a unique opportunity to influence the nursing profession—the intersection of what the world needs and what nurses are uniquely qualified to give. As a Board Member, you will:
Direct Impact: Oversee the distribution of scholarships and grants that enable the next generation of Arkansas nurses to achieve their educational goals.
Strategic Leadership: Help guide the Foundation’s "Leading Through Innovation" initiatives, ensuring we remain resilient in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape.
Advocacy & Presence: Represent the Foundation at major events, including Nurses Day at the Capitol and the ARNA Fall Conference.
We Are Seeking Candidates Who Possess:
A Commitment to the nursing profession: A deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Arkansas nurses today.
Diverse Expertise: While nursing clinical expertise is vital, we also highly value skills in non-profit management, fundraising, financial oversight, or public relations.
Visionary Thinking: The ability to look 2-5 years into the future to forecast workforce needs and educational trends.
Collaborative Spirit: A proven track record of working effectively within committees and multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Attend three virtual Board meetings.
Participate in the review and selection of scholarship and grant recipients.
Actively engage in Foundation fundraising efforts and donor stewardship.
Serve as an ambassador for the Foundation within your local healthcare community.
