Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm‬ ‭23‬:‭4‬

Our sermon series has been walking us through “The Storms of Life” and today addressed the storm of sorrow. We learned that there are actions we can take to turn our sorrows into blessings through Jesus- be patient, be persistent, and be practical.

God shows us we can persevere through our sorrow if we lean on Him. 🙏🏻

To conclude our service, we celebrated our dear friend Natalie making her commitment to Jesus public. She then followed her decision with baptism. 🤗

We are so thankful for HomePlace Church and the fellowship we share with one another. ❤️

Just returned from taking some of our wounded combat veterans fishing in Alaska. It was a great 8 days. We returned with over 100 lbs of salmon filets. Richard, a Vietnam combat veteran, is shown fishing from a seat. We led him to the Lord several months ago. The comments are his in the lodge guest book. It is shared with his permission. His wife, Deborah, also has recently been saved. She had never held a fishing rod. It was a great time.

Our crew is making their way back from Alaska now! From amazing fellowship with one another, to beautiful wildlife sightings, and picturesque scenery, they have had the time of their life. 🐻🏔️

We can’t wait for stories about how God changed their lives through this experience. 🙏🏻

We are beyond thankful at HomePlace to have some of the best leaders. Last week and this week we were blessed to hear messages from Brother Rodney Hipes and Stephen Britt. 🤗

Both brought our congregation God’s Word in unique and powerful ways. Thank you to these men for leading our people so well. 🙏🏻

We look forward to next Sunday as Pastor Chuck begins a new series for us to grow in the Word together! ✝️

Some HomePlace veterans were blessed with the opportunity to visit Alaska for the week for a special time in the outdoors. They have some wonderful days ahead including Bible study, fishing, and exploring God’s creation. 🏔️

Please be in prayer for their safety while they are there and make their travels back in a few days. 🙏🏻

One of HomePlace’s own had her 17th birthday party last weekend at HomePlace Farm. Happy birthday Raegan! 🥳

Last Thursday, HomePlace Church had the honor to serve the Chapin American Legion Post 193 for their annual officer installment meeting. 🇺🇸

We love the opportunity to connect with veterans and our community and being able to share the love of Jesus with them. 🙏🏻

…Who has had the greatest impact on your life?
…”Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
…Maybe it was a teacher, a parent, a mentor, a pastor, or just a friend who helped you become the person you were meant to be. There is also someone else who has greatly impacted your life. You do not know his name, but he gave his life so that you could be free. Simply being born an American means that I possess a freedom that has been purchased for me by the blood and the lives of patriots. Those who gave their all must never be forgotten. That is what Memorial Day is all about. We remember those whose names we may not know, but they gave their lives for the freedom we are privileged to enjoy. They deserve our honor, our respect, and our deepest appreciation. Freedom is purchased and preserved by sacrifice…the greater the sacrifice… the greater the freedom. There is Another who gave His all for you. Choosing to follow Jesus means that I possess an eternal freedom that has been purchased for me by the greatest sacrifice of all, the blood of God’s Son. That is not only worth remembering, but it is worth your life… So Go Celebrate and LIVE FREE!!
