Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Early Detection Saves Lives / Community Health Screening Day on October 3 at Family Touch.
We had a few hiccups that morning, including some providers arriving later than expected, and we are especially grateful to everyone who was understanding and waited so patiently. We know your time matters, and we truly appreciated your flexibility and kindness.
Most importantly, we are grateful that so many members of our community came out to take care of their health, ask questions, get screened, and connect with resources. Early detection really can save lives, and making these services easier to access is exactly why days like this matter.
A huge thank you to Bergen County and the Bergen County Department of Health Services, Hoboken Family Planning, Bergen-Hudson Chronic Disease Coalition, and all of our participating community and healthcare partners for bringing these important services directly to our community.
And to our Family Touch staff and volunteers, thank you for welcoming participants, translating, helping people navigate the process, answering questions, solving problems as they came up, and keeping everything moving.
Community events never happen because of just one organization. They happen because many people decide to show up and do their part.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, waited, helped, partnered, volunteered, and made this day possible.ย
We are grateful to serve this community, and we look forward to doing it again.
