Today we pause in silence and reverence.

Good Friday reminds us of the depth of Christ’s love, a love that gives everything.

In our school, students learn that even in suffering, there is purpose, and through faith, there is always hope.

The night He gave us the Eucharist and showed us how to serve. ✝️

On Holy Thursday, our Mary of Lourdes Middle School students (and the Kindergarten class at the elementary school) participate in a meaningful educational experience centered on the Jewish Passover meal.

Through this long-standing tradition, students learn about the Passover as it is celebrated within the Jewish faith and reflect on the story of the Israelites’ journey from slavery in Egypt to freedom. This foundational story of salvation helps illuminate the context in which Jesus lived and celebrated meals with His disciples.

In keeping with the guidance of the Church, this experience is not a reenactment of the Last Supper, but rather an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of salvation history and the roots of our Catholic faith.

By learning about these traditions, students are better able to appreciate the fullness of the Eucharist and the new covenant established through Christ.

We are grateful to welcome our 8th-grade parents to join us in this cherished 30-year Mary of Lourdes tradition, sharing in both learning and community.

Moments like these help form students in faith, understanding, and respect for the traditions that shape our shared history.

🙏How can we pray for you?

During the Lenten season, our students at Mary of Lourdes Catholic School are spending extra time in prayer as a community. ✝️💜

Each Friday during Lent, students gather to pray the Stations of the Cross or the Divine Mercy Chaplet, reflecting on Christ’s sacrifice and growing together in faith.

Our middle school students are also helping lead this effort by volunteering to write down prayer intentions that are lifted up during our noonday prayer. So far, 38 prayer intentions have been submitted and prayed for by our school community. 🙏

Prayer is a powerful way we care for one another, and we would be honored to pray for you as well.

If you have a prayer request or intention, please feel free to share it in the comments or send us a private message so our students can include it in our prayers.

May our Blessed Mother continue to intercede for all those in need of prayer. 💙

We are now well into our Lenten journey at Mary of Lourdes Catholic School. ✝️💜

Lent invites us not simply to begin again, but to persevere in prayer, in sacrifice, and in love. Throughout this sacred season, our students are growing in faith as they reflect on how they can draw closer to Christ and serve others more intentionally.

In our classrooms and chapel, we see daily reminders that Catholic education forms both hearts and minds. 📖✨

May our Blessed Mother, Mary, intercede for our entire school community as we continue walking toward Easter with faithful hearts. 🌿
