The saying that actions speak louder than words? We took that one step further learning from a two-time cancer survivor (Stefanie Hurt, President of W.I.N.K.) that words can’t take away the burden cancer leaves you with, however we learned actions certainly can help. Starting with “W.I.N.K-ing”- Taking the pure gesture of a wink to show your support and encourage those affected by cancer. Using funds directly and efficiently- Paying a grocery bill for a fighter, a taxi ride to a chemo treatment, fishing for an afternoon to “recharge’ the mental batteries. W.I.N.K.’s primary mission is to use dollars to directly help those in need because their cancer has changed life’s priorities.
