About us...

American Legion Post 182 is a small post, active in Little Elm, Texas since 2003. However, in the last 12 years, we have built a veterans monument at The Little Elm City Hall, we participate in the Christmas and 4th of July parades in the surrounding towns. We also participate in the Cinco de Mayo festivities, and the Little Elm Autumn Fest. We also have Flag retirement ceremonies around Flag Day each year and members of our post place flags at area cemeteries on Memorial Day and Veterans Day and are available to honor veterans at funeral services. We are especially proud of our Fallen Soldiers Plaque Program, where we present marble plaques etched with the photos of fallen soldiers to their family members to let them know that their loved one will always be remembered. The American Legion is also here to assist area veterans with obtaining veterans benefits, short term loans and/or supplies, and rides to the VA and doctor's offices. Our Post was honored "Post of the Year" from 526 posts in Texas. The American Legion Department of Texas Commander presented Post 182 with this distinction in recognition for our accomplishments and diligent hard work. We have high hopes for our continuing efforts in the Little Elm area, and with your help, we will be even more able to provide this community and its veterans with a sense of patriotism and pride in our city.
