WELCOME TO A NEW MONTH — SEPTEMBER! 🌿

“There is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail.” — Job 14:7

This new month, I declare that I am rising beyond every limitation! What appeared cut down, forgotten, or finished will live again by the grace of God.I choose to forsake all unrighteousness, walk in righteousness, and hold firmly to my faith in Christ and all He has accomplished for me.

I will not be defined by my past, my limitations, or my circumstances. In Christ, there is hope, restoration, strength, and a future!

JESUS DID NOT MAKE YOU FREE TO DO NOTHING

Key Scripture: Galatians 5:13 (NKJV)

“For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

Introduction

Jesus Christ did not set us free so that we could live without accountability, responsibility, discipline, or purpose. Freedom in Christ is not freedom from responsibility; it is freedom to take responsibility.

Many people want the benefits of freedom but do not want the responsibility that comes with it. They want grace without growth, blessings without stewardship, authority without accountability, and purpose without sacrifice.

But biblical freedom demands maturity.

The more freedom God gives you, the more responsibility you must be willing to carry.

1. Take Responsibility for Your Spiritual Life

Nobody else can take responsibility for your relationship with God.

You cannot depend entirely on your pastor, parents, spouse, or spiritual leaders to pray, study the Word, and pursue God for you.

Philippians 2:12 — “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

You must take responsibility for:

* Your prayer life
* Your study of Scripture
* Your spiritual growth
* Your obedience to God
* Your walk with the Holy Spirit

Spiritual maturity begins when you stop blaming others for your lack of growth.

2. Take Responsibility for Your Choices

Freedom means you have choices, but your choices have consequences.

Galatians 6:7 — “Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

You cannot continually make irresponsible decisions and blame the devil, people, circumstances, or your past.

Ask yourself:

“What choices am I making, and where are those choices taking me?”

Maturity means accepting responsibility for your decisions.

THE TRUTH WILL MAKE YOU FREE

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32

The truth is not merely a collection of facts or information. The Truth is a Person—Jesus Christ.

When you truly encounter Christ, His light begins to shine into every area of your life. He exposes the darkness that has covered your understanding, judgment, decisions, and perception over the years.

There are things about yourself, your purpose, your family, and your destiny that you may never fully understand until you encounter Jesus.

Finding Christ brings revelation.

He reveals what you could not see before.
He exposes what has been hidden.
He corrects what has been distorted.
He renews your mind and opens your understanding to His Word.

Sometimes, darkness is not obvious. It can operate through ignorance, deception, wrong beliefs, fear, bitterness, worldly patterns, and ways of thinking that we have accepted for years.

But when the light of Christ comes, darkness cannot remain hidden.

Jesus begins to show you who you are, whose you are, why you were created, and what He desires to accomplish through your life and family.

The journey to freedom begins with knowing Christ.

Find Jesus. Know the Truth. Walk in His Light. And experience true freedom.

Jesus Christ is the Truth, and the Truth will make you free.

ARE YOU INVESTING IN THE FLESH OR THE SPIRIT?

Key Scripture: Galatians 6:7–8 (NKJV)

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

Every day, whether we realize it or not, we are making investments. The question is not whether you are sowing, but where you are sowing.

Are you investing in the flesh, or are you investing in the Spirit?

Many believers assume they are sowing to the Spirit simply because they are active in church. However, activity is not the same as spirituality. It is possible to sing, preach, serve, and even lead while still being driven by the flesh.

One of the greatest challenges of this generation is that we often act according to the flesh but label it as the work of the Spirit. We have become comfortable adopting the world’s patterns while expecting spiritual results.

The entertainment culture of the world has influenced many areas of the Church. Our speech, our thinking, our values, our ambitions, and sometimes even our worship have been shaped more by the culture around us than by the Word of God. We follow trends without first asking whether they reflect the heart of Christ.

The Bible warns us:

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
— Romans 12:2

Transformation is not merely changing our appearance or our language. It is allowing the Holy Spirit to completely renew our minds until our thoughts, desires, and actions reflect Christ.

The Lord also commands us:

“Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate,’ says the Lord…”
— 2 Corinthians 6:17

God never called His people to blend in with darkness. He called us to be salt and light. If there is no visible difference between those who belong to Christ and those who do not, then we must honestly examine what we are investing in.

Many believers are trying to sow into both the flesh and the Spirit at the same time. We desire the rewards of the Spirit while refusing to crucify the flesh. But God’s Word is clear:

God cannot be mocked. Whatever a person sows, that is exactly what they will reap.

WHERE IS YOUR TRUST? Part 2.

ur confidence must never rest in wealth, status, influence, or human ability. Our trust must be in God alone.

In Mark 10:29–30, Jesus also teaches that following Him requires complete devotion. Houses, family, lands, careers, possessions, and even legitimate relationships must never become excuses that keep us from obeying God’s call. These are blessings from God, but they must never take God’s place in our hearts.

Reflection

Ask yourself:

* Where is my trust—in God or in my riches?
* If God asked me to surrender something valuable for His Kingdom, would I obey?
* Have I allowed wealth, comfort, relationships, or success to become greater than my dependence on God?

God is not looking for people who merely possess wealth. He is looking for people whose hearts belong completely to Him.

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”
— Psalm 20:7 (NKJV)

WHERE IS YOUR TRUST?

In God or in Riches?

Key Text: Mark 10:23–31

The story of the rich young ruler reveals one of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer—not the possession of wealth, but trusting in it.

After the rich young ruler walked away because he was unwilling to part with his possessions, Jesus said:

“How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”
— Mark 10:23 (NKJV)

Jesus was not condemning wealth. He was exposing the danger of placing our confidence in riches instead of in God.

Money, possessions, influence, education, and human connections can create a false sense of security. They can make us believe that we are self-sufficient and no longer need to depend on God. Yet none of these can give eternal life or guarantee entrance into the Kingdom of God.

The real question is not “How much do you have?” but “What are you trusting in?”

The rich young ruler trusted more in his possessions than in the One standing before him. His wealth had become an idol, and when Jesus asked him to surrender it, he walked away sorrowful.

Jesus then reminded His disciples:

“With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”
— Mark 10:27 (NKJV)

HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU Part 2.

Grace did not come to help us manage our old life; grace came to bring us into a new life.

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.”
— Titus 2:11–12

Through Christ, we have been translated from one kingdom into another.

“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.”
— Colossians 1:13

This means we have been given the ability, through His Spirit, not to continue living the way we used to live. His grace empowers us to overcome the flesh, selfish desires, our ego, and everything contrary to the will of the Father.

Paul asked:

“Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not!”
— Romans 6:1–2

So when God says, “My grace is sufficient for you,” grace is not permission to remain in bo***ge. His grace is sufficient to strengthen you, transform you, and enable you to live a life that is pleasing to the Father.

Grace brought us back to the Father.
Love paid the price.
Jesus opened the way.
The Holy Spirit now empowers us to live the new life.

True grace does not make us comfortable in sin. True grace transforms us and empowers us to become more like Christ.

His grace is sufficient—not merely to forgive us when we fall, but to empower us to rise, overcome, and live for the pleasure of our Heavenly Father rather than for the desires of our flesh.

HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU

Many believers misunderstand the meaning of grace. When they hear that we are under grace, they assume it means we are free to live however we please because God’s grace will cover us no matter what we do.

But grace is not a license to continue in sin. Grace is revealed to us in the person of Jesus Christ.

There is no true understanding of grace without understanding the love of Jesus Christ. Grace flowed toward us because of His love. His love brought Him to the cross, and through His sacrifice, He gave us access back to the Father.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…”
— John 3:16

Sin had separated humanity from God, but Jesus came to deal with the very thing that stood between us and the Father. He did not come simply to make us comfortable while remaining in sin; He came to deliver us from its power and bring us into a new relationship with the Father.

“For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.”
— Ephesians 2:18

On the cross, Jesus bore our sins and experienced the terrible weight and judgment of sin. He cried:

“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
— Matthew 27:46

The One who knew no sin became the sin-bearer for us so that we could be reconciled to God.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:21

Therefore, we cannot claim to understand grace while willingly embracing the very sin from which Jesus died to deliver us.
