❤ What a great way to start the day! Our club president, Bill Cluley, and our treasurer, Bill Weik, presented Paige McFarling and Alexandra Schramm of the Lancaster County Food Hub , with a check for $41,075! This was possible thanks to everyone who supported our Rotary Fall Festival with sponsorships, monetary donations, raffle prizes, music, volunteer hours, attending, bidding and everything in between! We are honored to support the mission of important organizations like the Lancaster County Food Hub - together we are making a difference in our community.

The supplies for this project are funded by the Lancaster Sunrise Rotary Club and a Rotary District 7390 grant. Our current Club President, Rev. Bill Cluley selected this project as his chosen initiative for this year. ❤️

We will be having a work party to build the platforms to house the metal lockers on Saturday, November 8th starting at 8:00 am. Anyone can come to the garage I rent on E. Fulton Street behind the residence at 224 N Shippen Street. The platforms will be relocated to Tenfold on E. King Street and then we will relocate the locker in storage at the Toys for Tots warehouse at Park City and install on the platforms. Message me if you are available to help that day. Why It Matters
1. Polio mainly affects children under age 5.
2. There’s no cure—but it is preventable with a vaccine.
3. Only two countries remain endemic.
4. Since 1988, cases have been reduced by 99.9%.
5. Until it’s gone everywhere, every child is at risk.
Polio is a paralyzing and potentially fatal disease, but it’s vaccine-preventable. Rotary launched the fight in 1988 alongside WHO, UNICEF, the CDC, and later the Gates Foundation. Together, we’ve pushed polio to the brink of eradication—but the final push depends on us.
