An international team of women prayed for people on the Kenyan island where DMA missionaries Peter and Irene live, and they saw God’s miraculous interventions. One elderly woman who could not walk now walks again, and a man who had suffered a stroke and struggled to walk and speak is now able to ride his motorcycle! Yet another person recommitted their life to Christ when the team prayed with them in their home.

Hanneke Develing (from a DOVE church in the Netherlands called The Living) led this team of women from DOVE Westgate Church in Pennsylvania, USA, to Kenya. The team began by visiting Peter and Irene. Everyone turns to Peter and Irene for help, as they notice who is in need, who requires practical help, or who needs encouragement. They sell fruit and vegetables from their home so that people come to them for groceries. Through these relationships, and as Peter and Irene sell physical fruit, God is bringing spiritual fruit through church growth.

The team then spent two days hosted by Pastor Wilson and Rebecca in the Kitale region of Kenya and served at a women’s conference. Kenyan, European, and American women enjoyed worship, teaching, workshops, and sharing meals and lives together. It felt like a foretaste of heaven, where all tribes and nations will worship God together. Conference attendees noticed that cultural barriers disappear when a spiritual family comes together in unity. Hanneke writes, “Setting aside time and taking the step to serve God in another part of the world and being dependent on Him always breaks something open in the spiritual realm so that you also receive blessing. God’s presence was very clear during our time in Kenya.”

There's a difference between believing in Jesus and surrendering everything to Him. In this YWAM podcast episode, Bill Landis unpacks how encounter, conviction, and lordship shaped his story—from a teenager in Lancaster to pioneering international missions. His story is a reminder that true discipleship always moves us toward risk and adventure.

As of late 2025, DOVE USA has sent missionaries to serve in three locations in Australia. In February, DOVE USA Missions director Peter Bunton and his wife, Ruth Ann, travelled to Australia to meet with and serve these missionaries. One mission leader remarked, “We have never known a church send people to provide pastoral care for its missionaries.”

Peter and Ruth Ann spent time listening to our workers, helping them think through the coming seasons of life and ministry. They also helped the ministries where our workers serve by training both staff and students.

💥 Jayden helps to lead Youth With A Mission in Melbourne. Peter and Ruth Ann shared on intercession and hearing God with the staff and students there.
💥 Nercy is on the leadership team of a program in Sydney, which equips people to use creative arts in outreach to the Pacific region. Peter was asked to teach on faith and finances to these young workers.
💥In Perth, Peter shared with Ryan and Clarissa’s colleagues on overcoming a victim mentality.

God is moving in Australia as young people are being trained to proclaim Christ not just to that nation but throughout the Pacific region and Asia. We pray with our missionaries for lasting fruit from their labors, thanking God for wonderful times of fellowship and prayer with our precious workers in the last weeks.

Medical missions is a special way for us to care for God’s children all around the world. DOVE USA Missions sends teams to support medical work already happening in various locations. We’ve been blessed to be able to support the work of Africa and their medical clinics in rural Kenya. This international team of 30 (including the five sent from DOVE USA Missions) served over 750 patients at three clinic locations.

The local missionaries do so much to make sure these clinics operate several times a week, and they commented on the impact of hosting a larger team to operate the clinics for an extra day or two. Our goal is to continue with this international partnership as long as it is beneficial to the local community.

There was a recent major flood in a village on the Indonesian island that DOVE USA missionary Kristina lives on. She went there with a team from Youth With A Mission to spend a week helping to clean up the affected area and provide practical assistance to the people. The team delivered food and clothes by driving a truck through the receding floodwaters to the dry places where people had gathered. They had fled their homes, which were still under water at the time of the outreach.

The team also set up a food distribution station. As children came to eat and play, the team taught them Bible lessons and led worship.

Because of this outreach, there are future plans to collaborate with other teams to adopt another area that got hit badly with the flood. Praise the Lord for opportunities to collaborate and continue to help rebuild the same community long-term.

Norway, Netherlands, Nations

Isaiah Martinez has been serving these last two years as a missionary based in Norway. Sensing that his future would require him to develop further his gifts in music and leading worship, Isaiah completed his ministry commitment in Norway and is currently in Amsterdam, Netherlands for three months to learn at a YWAM school of worship. He writes, "I really believe there is an anointing and gifting for worship on my life, but I haven't actively pursued it yet. I believe this school will help me to grow in my heart for worship, and my skills in worship leading and songwriting. I believe that this—paired with a recent four-month Bible intensive—will be key to what that Lord has prepared for me in the future."

Please pray for Isaiah as he completes this training in March and as he seeks the next steps to serving the Lord in the nations.

What happens when our love for a person or a people group goes cold? What if we don’t feel called to the unreached? As followers of Christ, we want to love the lost but what if we don’t feel that love? In this video, five different workers share their experiences working among Muslims and in seasons where the work was slow and love grew cold.

Meet our guest speaker for the missions festival: Dave Evans!

Dave (left) is married to Susan, and they have two adult children. Dave recently retired from a 42-year career in faith-based international development work. He has visited over 100 countries and lived and worked for 14 years in the countries of Chad, Zimbabwe, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, and Mali. He spent 22 years in Food for the Hungry, and ended his time there in the role of president. Dave also served as president of LifeNet International, an organization that partners with more than 400 Christian health care facilities in six African countries. In addition, he has held vice-presidential and chief of party roles in Food for the Hungry, World Vision, and Hope Walks. In all of these roles and organizations, Dave was instrumental in building and growing programs that ministered to both the physical and spiritual needs of millions of people around the world.

In 1980, Dave's life was transformed through his participation in a short-term team to Haiti, where he spent 3 months soaking up as much as he could about Haiti and missions. Since joining Newport Church in 2023, he and Susan have been actively supporting DOVE missions in several countries, and Susan currently leads Newport's mission support team. This summer, Dave and Susan are looking forward to leading their first DOVE USA short-term missions team to Colombia.

Wendy is a young woman called by God to serve in long-term missions in a West African nation. Her vision is to reach vulnerable Muslim children with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

After completing college, Wendy spent one year in missions in her home nation in East Africa. She then moved back to the capital and has been discipling Muslim-background believers. During this period, she sensed a clear call to an overwhelmingly Muslim country in West Africa. Her vision is to establish a safe house for vulnerable children, street children, and orphans. Her home church is preparing to commission her in a few months.

Sadly, the local media and NGOs report cases of child abuse by some Marabouts (teachers of the Qur’an). Young children, especially boys, are sent to urban centers to supposedly engage in Islamic studies, but they are forced to beg by their “teachers” and given daily targets of what they are expected to bring “home.” It is a camouflaged and devastating form of child abuse.

Wendy has hope that with the support of other believers and God’s enabling grace, she can rescue, raise, educate, and equip these children. It is a big vision, but we serve an even bigger God!

Our medical missions team is in Kenya this week! They are partnering with local doctors to serve at the medical clinic run by DOVE Africa in a rural location. The team is helping fulfill prescriptions at the pharmacy table, ministering to children waiting to be seen, and offering to pray for patients who want to receive prayer. Please keep this team in your prayers as they finish up their week of serving people at the clinics.
