United Zion Retirement Community (UZRC) recently installed and implemented a Helping AI system, an early detection tool aiming to reduce frequency and severity of residents' falls. The system has already proved its merits, as in April of this year, no UZRC resident falls were recorded, which was the first time this has happened in the community's 121-year existence.

"It's a radar-based system that requires no microphones and no cameras," said Miranda Troyer, UZRC's director of personal care. "It works on motion detection. It's smart, so it learns our residents. It learns where their resting places are, so it's known when they are moving. I'm not a tech person. But our results have been amazing."

Earlier this week, residents enjoyed a trip to the Lebanon Train Station to see Union Pacific's Big Boy No. 4014! At 133 feet long and weighing 1.2 million pounds, the world's largest operating steam locomotive was an impressive sight to see!
