America's Bravest Golf Association

America's Bravest Golf Association ABGA provides a social re-integration golf therapy/wellness program to post 9/11 Veterans, Peace Officer's, & First Responders injured in the line of duty.

Medically cleared and qualified participants are enrolled in a 10 week basic phase of instruction called "Good to Golf" where they are instructed in the basics of golf by Certified Golf Instructors on practice areas of the facility. They will experience group as well as individualized instruction. The participant will receive professional fitting and if necessary have adaptive equipment custom de

signed and fitted to them from a world renowned golf equipment manufacturer. Those who complete the initial 10 week course of instruction will "graduate" to phase II, which is known as "Out of the Rough". Participants here will have demonstrated an ability to participate on an actual golf course. They will be escorted onto the course for 3,6,9, or 18 holes depending on their stamina and individual comfort. They will play alternate shot golf under supervision and spend the time enjoying time on the golf course with friends they have made over the course of their therapy.
