Well so much for the weather. We will set up a rain date real soon so we can try again. I did get in 2 hours of fishing before the thunder rolled in, got a little wet of course but the fish didn't mind. 3 on buzzbait, 1 on 10in rubber worm

Looking forward to meeting whoever can make it out tomorrow for some paddle fishing on Highland lake. Bring the rain jacket as some showers are in the forecast. Nothing we're not used to

With less than a week to go I hope everyone is getting excited and making every effort to get to Highland Lake for our first meetup this season on Sunday the 31st. We will be out on the water from 8-4 and fishing just for fun/friendly competition. If you can prove you caught the biggest fish you can claim bragging rights over the day. I think many of us play by the same rules...picture or it doesn't count.

If the rain passes tonight I plan on fishing early tomorrow morning from 6am-10am somewhere yet to be determined (no more than 40min from scarborough to portland area)...If anyone is interested, I wouldn't mind some company - Sam

If you haven't fished Horne Pond and you live in the area, you are missing out. $5 for the day or $30 season pass. Water warmed up like crazy today and moved the fish shallow, some even on beds already. I've never seen so many 3-5lb fish in the same area. I lost 5 fish to breaching/shaking the lure off and fish getting wrapped around chains/ropes holding down floating docks. Managed to land this 3lb 3oz smallie on the last cast today. (KVD sexy shad square bill crank). Headed back tomorrow to redeem myself...I hope -Sam
