Very sad day today. Shortly after midnight this morning Jack the donkey went to sleep and didn’t wake back up. One of our employees went back and stayed with him last night until he passed. He took extra blankets and even had some heaters going, but hypothermia had taken its toll.

At least he wasn’t alone and he was warm and cozy when he fell asleep for the last time. Farm life is full of both new life and loss. Doesn’t make it any easier especially when it’s a tragic loss like this. Thank you all for your prayers.

I just had eyes on a hunting hound near Pleasant Pond Cemetery on Main Street Route 219 in Sumner. Last seen headed toward West Paris.

Please drive carefully in the area. If you see this hound, do not chase or call out. Just note the exact location, direction of travel, and the time, then report the sighting to Oxford County Dispatch at 207 743 9554 option 0.

Terry has been missing from her home on Landons Way by Pottle Hill Road since very early this morning. She is an 11 year old 9 lb brown Chihuahua/Dachshund mix - microchipped & tattooed.
