THE WAIT IS OVER 🎄🥂
Our Holiday Sip & Shop is BACK!

Join us Thursday, November 19th from 5–9PM at Renault Winery for an evening of shopping, sipping, connecting and celebrating some of the incredible businesses in our community.

This year, we’re bringing together 60+ local vendors, an amazing group of sponsors and so many of the little details you’ve come to love about our Sip & Shops — champagne, giveaways, swag bags, holiday shopping & more.

But what makes this night so special has always been the people and businesses behind it. ❤️

To every vendor who chooses to set up shop with us, every sponsor who believes in what we’re building, and every business that continues to support this community, THANK YOU. We truly could not create nights like this without you.

And to our Motivated Mommies community… get ready. Because this lineup is GOOD. 👀

Full vendor + sponsor lineup coming soon.
🎟️ Tickets go on sale September 30th
Swag Bag tickets will be limited!

Save the date. Send this to your shopping crew. And get ready for a very merry night at Renault. 🎄🥂

Local Business Spotlight: Otter Swim School 🦦💦

Part 2 of our swim lesson prep starts right back in the bathtub! 🛁

This time, we’re giving her a little more freedom to feel, move, and explore the water while still providing gentle support.
Here’s what we’re practicing:

💦 Filling the tub enough for her to float on her back: Giving her the opportunity to experience how her body feels and moves in the water.

🤲 Gently supporting her head & neck: With the back of her neck and head resting in my palm, she can feel secure while still having room to explore.

🥹 Letting her self-correct: When she feels the water reach her cheeks, we give her time to naturally adjust her head and find a position that feels comfortable.

🦶 Encouraging kicks & arm movements: Letting those little legs and arms move freely helps her discover how her movements interact with the water.

🩷 Creating a safe space to explore: More than anything, we want water to feel like a positive place where she can move, discover, and build confidence at her own pace.

The end of a Summer always brings a new heightened emotion in our house. The end of a season and the start of a new. Wishing all the teachers (especially mine!) a wonderful school year ahead. There aren’t enough ways to say thank you to our educators. So thankful to be sending off a trunk full of backpacks and school supplies to Galloway schools this morning with my favorite teacher.

A very special shoutout to my husband who stands by all my dreams and shows up to support all my crazy ideas however he can. If you ever wonder how I do it all, it’s because of him. ❤️

What. A. Summer.

Dads back to work tomorrow & it’s camp Mommy for the remaining few days before we have a 4th & 1st grader. Where is the time going?

This Summer we were blessed with two very busy and crazy fun kids, two thriving businesses, beach and pool days, mini staycations, celebratory milestones, annual Chincoteague vacation with good friends and so much more. Things not seen on social media? Finding time to balance date nights and self care in between all of that, struggling to stay patient with two extremely dopamine seeking children, getting enough sleep, letting the little things go… life is a balance. That is for sure.

Shoutout to Nucky's Kitchen & Speakeasy and Ventnor Square Theatre for always being a top choice for those hard to come by date nights. Great food & drinks, atmosphere, music downstairs, outdoor dining, and then bonus points catching a movie all in the same building. Oh and you can bring a cocktail into the theatre. Say less. Spider-Man was a 10/10. He’s my favorite superhero and I hate spiders … go figure 😂

Postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis are not the same thing.

In Part 2 of our Maternal Mental Health Series with Dr. Zink of Susan Zink MD , we’re talking more about postpartum depression what it can look like, how differently it can show up from one mom to the next, and why recognizing the signs and talking about them matters.

Postpartum psychosis looks very different and is a medical emergency. While these are two distinct conditions, both are treatable, and understanding the difference is an important part of the conversation around maternal mental health.

Motherhood comes with so many expectations about how we’re “supposed” to feel, but the reality can look very different. The more we normalize honest conversations like these, the easier it becomes for a mom to say, “I’m struggling,” and feel comfortable reaching out for support.

If this conversation helps even one mom feel seen, understood, or more comfortable asking for help, it’s worth having.

Stay tuned as we continue this series with Dr. Zink and keep creating space for the conversations moms deserve to have.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a trusted healthcare provider or mental health professional. If you are concerned about postpartum psychosis or immediate safety, seek emergency medical care right away.
