We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who attended last night's final NLIA meeting of the 2025–2026 term. We were pleased to have 43 neighbors in attendance, demonstrating strong community support for the ongoing efforts of our dedicated residents who continue to advocate for the construction of a sound barrier wall along the 695/295 corridor.

We would also like to welcome Collin Alexander as the new Vice President of NLIA. A lifelong resident of North Linthicum and a wrestling coach at North County High School, Collin is deeply committed to our community. In his new role, he hopes to encourage greater youth involvement through volunteer opportunities and community engagement.

The NLIA website is updated regularly, so please be sure to visit it for the most up-to-date community news, announcements, and information. https://nlia-assoc.org/

Thank you to everyone who continues to support and strengthen our neighborhood. We hope you all have a wonderful and safe summer!

Anne Arundel County Seeks 14- and 15-Year-Olds for Election Day Page Program

As Anne Arundel County prepares for the 2026 Gubernatorial Primary on June 23, the Board of Elections is looking to expand one of its most rewarding initiatives: The Election Day Page Program. While 16- and 17-year-old high schoolers serve as student election judges, the Page Program is specifically designed for students aged 14 and 15 who want a front-row seat to democracy. The Election Day Pages provide invaluable support to Chief Judges and the entire polling team. Welcoming these bright students into the precinct isn't just about adding an extra pair of hands; it is a chance for veteran election judges to mentor our county's future voters and civic leaders.

The State Board of Elections provides all eligible citizens of the State convenient access to voter registration; provides all registered voters accessible locations in which they may exercise their right to vote, to ensure uniformity of election practices; to promote fair and equitable elections; a...

📣 CALLING ALL GRANT WRITERS, NONPROFIT PROFESSIONALS & FUNDRAISERS 📣

The North Linthicum Improvement Association is looking for neighbors with experience writing grants and, more importantly, successfully securing grant funding.

As many of you know, NLIA has some ambitious goals for our community, including park improvements, beautification projects, environmental stewardship initiatives, public safety enhancements, community events, and the preservation of green space for future generations.

One of our most important long-term goals is exploring opportunities to preserve the land adjacent to Overlook Park as open space and a natural buffer for our community. While there are no guarantees, we believe pursuing grants, conservation partnerships, and other funding opportunities could play an important role in making that vision a reality.

While our volunteer board is passionate and committed, we know there are residents in our neighborhood with professional experience in grant writing, nonprofit development, fundraising, project management, environmental conservation, land preservation, government relations, and community planning. We’d love to tap into that expertise.

Specifically, we’re looking for volunteers who can help:
✅ Identify grant opportunities
✅ Review applications
✅ Assist with narratives and budgets
✅ Connect us with potential funding sources
✅ Share advice on what makes proposals successful
✅ Help establish a Grants & Funding Committee
✅ Explore conservation and land preservation funding opportunities

You don’t need to commit to dozens of hours. Even a few hours of guidance could help bring thousands or potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in resources back into our neighborhood.

If you have experience in grant writing, fundraising, conservation, planning, nonprofit management, or related fields or know someone who does please send us a private message.

The future of North Linthicum won’t be built by a handful of volunteers alone. It will take neighbors sharing their talents, expertise, and passion to help move our community forward.

Let’s work together to make North Linthicum cleaner, greener, safer, and stronger for generations to come.
