Lino Air Park North

We have been authorized to revive and update the Lino Air Park North page, and are grateful for this opportunity!

Soon we will be opening a Group named "LAPN (Lino Air Park North) Members", which will be able to be viewed and comments made only by residents of our Air Park. An email will be sent to each resident of our Air Park, asking each to request membership. Once verified, residents will be able to access, post and comment within the LAPN Member group.

We hope to provide an avenue for residents to post events (garage sales, hangar sales, etc) and to work toward easy and accurate dissemination of information that contributes to aviation safety. We think this will be a good step forward in bringing our Air Park community closer together!

A word of caution to pilots based out of Lino Air Park North, regarding flying over the Red Lake Indian Reservation...please beware! The Minnesota Pilots Association is leading efforts to free the aircraft of one of our members who had the misfortune of experiencing an engine failure over Red Lake. He safely landed his disabled aircraft, but his aircraft was confiscated and he was issued a citation for violating the tribe's "airspace"....which they claim extends from the ground up to 20,000 feet. Until this is cleared up in court we would urge you not to fly over reservation land, lest you have the same experience.

It might seem like a win for Red Lake, but could it hurt the tribe in the long run?

It is with great sadness that we share the sad and sudden news that our neighbor, Roger Schroeder, passed away today. No details are yet known. Please keep Laura and others in his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Other board members are Nick Nelson, Dave Hunter, and Roger Brommer.

Our airpark was visited by a pilot from WI, who asked permission to land here and go to a family graduation in the area. We welcomed them as our guests.
