Tonight’s 4‑H meeting at Maguire Park was an absolute blast! Our five teams took on a full scavenger hunt adventure - finding Y‑shaped sticks, rocks bigger than their fists, items that start with L, and even something that reminded them of their 4‑H project. They tackled photo challenges, bonus challenges, and our mini‑challenges, too:
• Reciting the 4‑H pledge
• Naming three fair rules
• Demonstrating how to properly hold a show animal
• Practicing how to talk to a judge
• Listing five things they’ll need to bring to the fair

The teamwork, leadership, and laughter tonight were everything 4‑H is about. Huge shout‑out to our team leaders for capturing the best moments! 💚🍀Proud of this group and excited for fair season!

This is what 4‑H looks like in Osage County - kids lifting each other up.
One of our older members helping a brand‑new 4‑H’er with his ham project… it doesn’t get better than that.

4‑H is for youth ages 8–18, and every month our leaders and mentors shine. But let’s be honest - Osage County has some of the best clubs, the best volunteers, and without a doubt… the best kids.

If your child wants to learn, grow, lead, try new things, make friends, and be part of something bigger, this is the place.

Join today.
We have clubs in Linn, Morrison, Loose Creek, Westphalia, Folk, Frankenstein, Bonnots Mill, and Rich Fountain - there’s a spot waiting for you.

🌟 Celebrating Our 5 Happy Helpers Seniors! 🌟

Tonight we want to shine a big spotlight on Karley, Reid, Carson, Tiana, and Emerson, five incredible young people who have poured so much heart into our club.

Karley and Reid have been part of 4‑H since they were just 8 years old, growing up right alongside this program. Carson jumped in three years ago and hit the ground running. And this year, Tiana and Emerson joined us and immediately became part of the heartbeat of our group.

All five of them are involved in several organizations, activities, and commitments… yet they still show up to our monthly meetings with smiles, leadership, and a willingness to help. They don’t just attend, they model what it looks like to be responsible, kind, and community‑minded for all of our younger members watching.

We are so proud of each of you.
Thank you for choosing to lead, choosing to serve, and choosing to make Happy Helpers a place where kids grow into the best versions of themselves. 💚🍀

Busy day for the Happy Helpers!
We took 14 kiddos to 4‑H Day at the Capitol, and they packed a whole lot of Missouri history and leadership into one day.

We had the best tour guide, Jan Sassmann, who showed us all the good stuff - the Representative chambers, the Speaker’s Lounge, the Senate chambers during a live bill reading, and even the Whispering Gallery. The kids also got to “be” the Lt. Governor for a minute, which might’ve been their favorite part.

We met with Lt. Governor, Rep. Bruce Sassmann, and Sen. Ben Brown, and even though severe weather kept us from making it to the dome, the kids didn’t miss a beat.

We wrapped up the day the right way - pizza from Arris’ and lots of tired, happy faces.

Proud of these kids and grateful for everyone who helped make the day happen.

And here we go with another round of Osage County Project Day photos.

I swear, every time I think I’ve posted them all, another batch pops up that’s too good not to share. These kids poured their hearts into every project, and the smiles, concentration faces, and “look what I made!” moments just keep coming.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this day happen — and to the parents and volunteers who are still sending pictures my way. Keep them coming. I love seeing this day through all of your lenses.
