We are a group of people who have banded together to make a difference in the lives of horses that have been abused, neglected, abandoned or surrendered. Our goal is to help these horses heal mentally and physically, and to find them pre-approved homes, if possible, or shelter them in our Sanctuary or network of foster homes. In 2011, Missouri Forget-Me-Not Horse Rescue and Sanctuary was established as a
501(c)3 nonprofit organization. However years before that our founder, Connie Hendrix, became aware of horses that were in need, no longer wanted, and starved, and no one would step forward to help them. This seemed like an excellent opportunity for her to help these horses, and it gave her and others, who share her concern and love for horses, a chance to make a difference! That's what we do - make a difference in a horse's life.
