That’s a wrap on the 2026 season! What a season it’s been! From the miles on the trails to the friendships made, challenges overcome, and memories created, we’re so proud of everything our riders accomplished this year.

Mountain biking is about so much more than racing. It’s about showing up, supporting each other, pushing past your comfort zone, and having fun along the way. We’ve loved watching our riders grow both on and off the bike!

A HUGE thank you to our coaches, volunteers, families, trail bosses and everyone who makes this team and our riding community so special- we couldn’t do it without you!

Now it’s time to celebrate an amazing season, give those bikes a little well-deserved TLC, and start dreaming about the trails ahead. 🤘

Thanks for an unforgettable 2026. Until next season… keep the rubber side down!

33 of these fine athletes punched their ticket to the MCA State Championship at Redhead Mountain Bike Park in Chisholm, MN this coming weekend. These student athletes come from Chisago, Forest Lake, North Branch, and St. Croix Falls school districts, but they are just as close as any team made up from a single school.

From all of the coaches, we wish you the best of luck this weekend. Ride fast, ride safe, heavy feet, and light hands. We will see you at the finish line!

Last weekend was a messy race to say the least. Unfortunately our high schoolers were not able to race on Sunday, but our middle schoolers got to race in some slick and wet conditions on Saturday. Top finishes:

6th grade boys D2: 7th place
8th grade boys D2: 9th place

Now for a much needed weekend off before we head to Redhead Mountain Bike Park in Chisholm for the State Championship on October 10th and 11th.

This past weekend we hit Brophy Park in Alexandria. The weather didn’t get us down, nor did the modified course on Saturday.

Lakes Area had top finishes in the following categories:

6th grade boys D2: 4th place
7th grade boys D2: 9th place
8th grade boys D2: 10th place
Freshman boys D2: 10th place
JV2 boys D2: 5th place

This weekend we head to Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis.

Today our riders traded their bikes for a different kind of course duty! 🏃‍♀️🌲

Our team gave back to the community by volunteering as rovers and sweeps at a local cross-country invitational. From helping runners stay on course to making sure everyone made it safely through, our riders showed that being part of a team is about more than racing—it’s about giving back. 💙

Proud of these kids for showing up and serving their community! 🚵‍♀️👏

Tonight we changed it up at practice, at the start of the season we paired up senior and junior athletes to promote a bond between our experienced high schoolers, newer athletes, and middle schoolers. Almost every practice starts with a 10 minute warm up where these senior and junior athletes come together to talk about riding, racing, and life and general. Tonight, after our team meeting they finally got to hit the trails together, share pointers, teach technique, and have lots of laughs.
