Once again, a HUGE thank you to everyone who was involved in the Zac Bartz NF1 Golf Tournament on Monday at Oak Glen Golf Course in Stillwater.
Even though it was extremely hot, we had more than 160 golfers participate. It was by far the smoothest tournament we've ever had, and 100% of the credit goes to the 20+ volunteers who helped with everything from setting up prizes and handling registration to processing auction payments and so much more. I can't say enough about how everyone stepped up to make Monday a phenomenal day. The auction and raffle prize donors once again went above and beyond what I could ever imagine. We had well over 60 packages at no less than $200 value for golfers and guests to drop tickets in and/or bid on...
A special thank you to Oak Glen Golf Course. Once again, they were absolutely incredible. Their staff is top-notch, accommodating, and as flexible as you could ever imagine. If you're planning a charity golf event, I highly recommend reaching out to them. Not only did they comfortably host 160+ golfers, but they also accommodated more than 70 people who came just for dinner and to hear the NF1 doctors talk, and we still had room to spare.
As always, 100% of the proceeds go directly to the University of Minnesota NF1 doctors and researchers. While we're still waiting on confirmation from a handful of sponsors, I'm confident we'll at least match last year's total of $47,500.
And finally, thanks to all of you who have supported this event over the past 15 years. I'm proud to share that—with matching grants—we have officially surpassed $1.5 million raised for the Zac Bartz NF1 Foundation. Reaching this milestone is incredible, and I couldn't be more grateful to everyone who has helped make it possible.

With only two weeks left until the Zac golf tournament, here are the order of events and details for the day..

Zachary Bartz NF1 Golf Tournament – Monday, July 27, 2026 Oak Glen Golf Course. Stillwater, MN.

10:00 – 12:00 Registration

Purchase Mega Putt, Bottle Putt, Mulligan/Proxies, 50/50 and general raffle tickets.

Bottle Putt Game open until Mega Putt Challenge.

11:00 – 12:00 – Lunch Served as well as a screwdriver bar sponsored by Tito's.

11:45 – Mega Putt

12:00 – Shotgun Start for regular course

2:00 – Par 3 Course Start - there are still a handful of openings available for the Par 3 tourney ($100 vs $175 for the regular course, includes dinner as well).

4:30-5:30 Happy Hour

5:30 Dinner & Evening program - raffle and auctions..

We have some awesome prizes / experiences this year - including 4x MN Gopher football field passes and suite, donated by Dan Battaglia - TB1F;

4x Mystic Lake Amphitheather Suite Tickets (variety of concerts to pick from) - donated by Dan Battaglia- TB1F;

Walser Corvette Convertible car for kids - donated by Walser Chevrolet

Golden Eagle golf Foursome with 3-night stay in Nisswa on Gull Lake (can sleep up to 17!), donated by Golden Eagle Golf Course and Peter Smothers - Red Lake Realty

Afternoon with the NF1 Doctors, including lunch at a nearby restaurant as well as an in-depth tour of the state of the art NF1 laboratories, for up to 8 guests. Donated by the U of M NF1 team.

Hilboy X300 Big-Wheel Electric Scooter - donated by The Zac Bartz Board of Directors and Eco-Fun.

One month from tomorrow is the 15th annual Zac Bartz NF1 Golf Tourney. We can accomodate more golfers this year since they opened up the Par 3 course for us ($100 for the Par 3 with dinner vs $175 for the regular course with lunch/dinner). We have dinner-only options available as well and will have some really cool experiences available for auction items and raffle items. We will have 50/50, bottle putt and mega putt contests and are working on other ways to make it an unforgettable day (including an opportunity to spend an afternoon with the NF1 doctors at the U of M including lunch).... If you are interested in joining us for this phenomenal cause feel free to reach out at any time. As always, 100% of our proceeds go directly to fight NF1.. Can't wait!!

For the upcoming Zac Bartz NF1 Golf Tourney (July 27), if you somewhat enjoy golf and would prefer to play the Par 3 course instead, we will have that available as well since we are almost sold out for the regular course. Will be 2x rounds at the Par 3, starting at 2:30. You'll still be able to enjoy the dinner / presentation / auction that evening, and the cost will be significantly cheaper as well. See you then!

If you or someone you know happens to have a Time Share or "up north" cabin that you'd be interested in donating a weeks vacation for the upcomng Zachary Bartz NF1 Golf Tournament please let me know. We are looking to expand our auction items and include more experiences for folks to bid on that will raise money for the U of M NF1 doctors in Zac's name.
