For the upcoming Zac Bartz NF1 Golf Tourney (July 27), if you somewhat enjoy golf and would prefer to play the Par 3 course instead, we will have that available as well since we are almost sold out for the regular course. Will be 2x rounds at the Par 3, starting at 2:30. You'll still be able to enjoy the dinner / presentation / auction that evening, and the cost will be significantly cheaper as well. See you then!

For 14 years, the Zachary NF Research Fund has hosted an annual golf tournament. All proceeds are donated directly to the University of Minnesota’s NF and cancer research lab.

Today, we were honored to present a check for $47,500 to the amazing NF1 doctors at the University of Minnesota, on behalf of the Zac Bartz NF1 Golf Tournament held on July 28 at Oak Glen Golf Course in Stillwater, MN. During our visit, we had the chance to tour the facility and listened to Dr. Largaespada talk about the progress made over the past twelve months, many of which are attributed to the funds from the Zac NF1 golf tournament.

This year’s total marks another big step forward — up from $30,000 two years ago, and $40,000 last year. We’re incredibly proud and deeply grateful to see the impact continue to grow.

A massive THANK YOU to all of our partners, volunteers, golfers, sponsors, and supporters who made this event such a success. Your dedication fuels real progress towards finding a cure.

We’re now just $9,385 away from hitting an extraordinary milestone: $1.5 MILLION raised for the Zac Bartz NF1 Fund. As always, 100% of whatever we raise goes directly to the world class doctors at the U of M for their continued NF1 research.

All I can say is last night was one of the best evenings (and most emotional) I've ever had. The Zac Bartz NF1 golf tournament at Oak Glen Golf Course went as smoothly as it could have, the turnout of golfers, volunteers and those who came for dinner alone was awesome, overall it could not have been a better day. HUGE thanks again to all of the volunteers - ZERO chance this would have been successful if it wasn't for all of you. You are truly the rock stars in this tourney.. Having Cooper and his family attend was spectacular, I cannot wait to have them included in this tournament and other NF1 events going forward, and in just getting to hang out with our new friends.. Too early to tell how much $$ we raised yet but I'll have that posted soon enough. The highlight for me was having Halle give a VERY heartfelt and meaningful speech, as well as having the kids Mazda convertible auctioning off for ~$500 and then getting immediately donated to Cooper by four very generous golfers. 364 more days 'til the 15th annual!!! Less than a week away! Details for the golf tourney next Monday (July 28) at Oak Glen Golf Course in Stillwater are:

Check in / registration begins at 10. Lunch should start around 11 (burgers), shotgun start begins at Noon.. Happy hour, dinner and awards should start around 5-5:30.

Before the tournament, Tito’s is sponsoring a Screw-Bar as well for screwdrivers, etc. which will be behind the clubhouse. We will have a few contests pre-shotgun start, including a Bottle Putt ($10 per putt, if you hit a bottle of wine / liquor, etc. you win that bottle), and Mega Putt ($5 entry fee, everyone putts towards a hole at the same time and whoever is closest wins half the pot. Last year the winner of Mega Putt took home over $400.

At registration there will also be 50/50 cash raffle tickets (last year’s winner took home $1100), plus a $10 raffle ticket that gets you a mulligan and into the three proxies on the course (longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin). We will be selling regular raffle tickets for the prizes that will be presented later that evening. If you don’t plan on staying for dinner / ceremony please write your name and phone number on the back of the tickets prior to dropping them in the buckets. We will have cash prizes for first and second place teams, plus a random team will get a prize as well.

We have some awesome raffle and auction prizes this year, including four tickets to the MN Wild with a Zamboni ride during intermission, four MN Gopher hockey suite tickets, a weekend getaway in Hayward, WI which includes 3-night stay at Grand Pines Lodging with pontoon and a day UTV rental, plus a weekend getaway at Edgewild Resort in Fifty Lakes with a foursome at Golden Eagle Golf Course.

Thanks again for all of the support and for helping make this tournament a huge success. Would love to smash last years record of $40K which went directly to the U of M NF1 doctors..
